Maryam et la naissance d'Isa, et la miséricorde envers Zakariyya et les prophètes.
Maryam 19:1
كٓهيعٓصٓ
Kâf-Hâ-Yâ-‘Âyn-Sâd.
Kaf, Ha, Ya, 'Ayn, Sad
Maryam 19:2
ذِكۡرُ رَحۡمَتِ رَبِّكَ عَبۡدَهُۥ زَكَرِيَّآ
Nous allons te relater comment ton Seigneur, par un effet de Sa miséricorde, a exaucé la prière que Son serviteur Zacharie
[This is] a mention of the mercy of your Lord to His servant Zechariah
Maryam 19:3
إِذۡ نَادَىٰ رَبَّهُۥ نِدَآءً خَفِيّٗا
Lui avait adressée secrètement.
When he called to his Lord a private supplication
Maryam 19:4
قَالَ رَبِّ إِنِّي وَهَنَ ٱلۡعَظۡمُ مِنِّي وَٱشۡتَعَلَ ٱلرَّأۡسُ شَيۡبٗا وَلَمۡ أَكُنۢ بِدُعَآئِكَ رَبِّ شَقِيّٗا
Zacharie dit : « Seigneur ! Mes os sont devenus fragiles et mes cheveux tout blancs. Jamais, Seigneur, je n’ai été déçu en T’implorant.
He said, "My Lord, indeed my bones have weakened, and my head has filled with white, and never have I been in my supplication to You, my Lord, unhappy
Maryam 19:5
وَإِنِّي خِفۡتُ ٱلۡمَوَٰلِيَ مِن وَرَآءِي وَكَانَتِ ٱمۡرَأَتِي عَاقِرٗا فَهَبۡ لِي مِن لَّدُنكَ وَلِيّٗا
Je redoute, après ma disparition, l’attitude de mes proches parents. Or, ma femme est stérile. Accorde-moi donc, par un effet de Ta grâce, un descendant
And indeed, I fear the successors after me, and my wife has been barren, so give me from Yourself an heir
Maryam 19:6
يَرِثُنِي وَيَرِثُ مِنۡ ءَالِ يَعۡقُوبَۖ وَٱجۡعَلۡهُ رَبِّ رَضِيّٗا
qui hérite de moi et de la famille de Jacob et qui Te soit, Seigneur, obéissant. »
Who will inherit me and inherit from the family of Jacob. And make him, my Lord, pleasing [to You]
Maryam 19:7
يَٰزَكَرِيَّآ إِنَّا نُبَشِّرُكَ بِغُلَٰمٍ ٱسۡمُهُۥ يَحۡيَىٰ لَمۡ نَجۡعَل لَّهُۥ مِن قَبۡلُ سَمِيّٗا
« Zacharie ! Nous t’annonçons la naissance d’un fils qui sera appelé Jean. Nul jusqu’ici n’a porté ce nom que Nous avons choisi pour cet enfant. »
[He was told], "O Zechariah, indeed We give you good tidings of a boy whose name will be John. We have not assigned to any before [this] name
Maryam 19:8
قَالَ رَبِّ أَنَّىٰ يَكُونُ لِي غُلَٰمٞ وَكَانَتِ ٱمۡرَأَتِي عَاقِرٗا وَقَدۡ بَلَغۡتُ مِنَ ٱلۡكِبَرِ عِتِيّٗا
Zacharie dit : « Comment, Seigneur, aurais-je un fils alors que mon épouse est stérile et que je suis moi-même un vieillard usé par les ans. »
He said, "My Lord, how will I have a boy when my wife has been barren and I have reached extreme old age
Maryam 19:9
قَالَ كَذَٰلِكَ قَالَ رَبُّكَ هُوَ عَلَيَّ هَيِّنٞ وَقَدۡ خَلَقۡتُكَ مِن قَبۡلُ وَلَمۡ تَكُ شَيۡـٔٗا
« Il en sera ainsi. Ton Seigneur a dit : “Cela M’est facile”. Ne t’ai-Je pas toi-même auparavant tiré du néant ? »
[An angel] said, "Thus [it will be]; your Lord says, 'It is easy for Me, for I created you before, while you were nothing
Maryam 19:10
قَالَ رَبِّ ٱجۡعَل لِّيٓ ءَايَةٗۖ قَالَ ءَايَتُكَ أَلَّا تُكَلِّمَ ٱلنَّاسَ ثَلَٰثَ لَيَالٖ سَوِيّٗا
Zacharie dit : « Seigneur ! Donne-moi un signe. » Le Seigneur dit : « Ce signe est que tu ne pourras t’adresser aux gens trois jours durant, tout en étant bien portant. »
[Zechariah] said, "My Lord, make for me a sign." He said, "Your sign is that you will not speak to the people for three nights, [being] sound
Maryam 19:11
فَخَرَجَ عَلَىٰ قَوۡمِهِۦ مِنَ ٱلۡمِحۡرَابِ فَأَوۡحَىٰٓ إِلَيۡهِمۡ أَن سَبِّحُواْ بُكۡرَةٗ وَعَشِيّٗا
Il quitta alors son oratoire et fit signe à son peuple de célébrer la gloire du Seigneur matin et soir.
So he came out to his people from the prayer chamber and signaled to them to exalt [Allah] in the morning and afternoon
Maryam 19:12
يَٰيَحۡيَىٰ خُذِ ٱلۡكِتَٰبَ بِقُوَّةٖۖ وَءَاتَيۡنَٰهُ ٱلۡحُكۡمَ صَبِيّٗا
« Jean ! Conforme-toi scrupuleusement aux Ecritures. » Nous l’avons doté d’une grande sagesse dès son plus jeune âge.
[Allah] said, "O John, take the Scripture with determination." And We gave him judgement [while yet] a boy
Maryam 19:13
وَحَنَانٗا مِّن لَّدُنَّا وَزَكَوٰةٗۖ وَكَانَ تَقِيّٗا
Et il fut, par Notre grâce, plein de tendresse et de vertu. Animé par la crainte de son Seigneur,
And affection from Us and purity, and he was fearing of Allah
Maryam 19:14
وَبَرَّۢا بِوَٰلِدَيۡهِ وَلَمۡ يَكُن جَبَّارًا عَصِيّٗا
il fut un fils pieux envers ses père et mère, obéissant envers son Seigneur, humble à l’égard des hommes.
And dutiful to his parents, and he was not a disobedient tyrant
Maryam 19:15
وَسَلَٰمٌ عَلَيۡهِ يَوۡمَ وُلِدَ وَيَوۡمَ يَمُوتُ وَيَوۡمَ يُبۡعَثُ حَيّٗا
Que la paix soit avec lui le jour de sa naissance, le jour de sa mort et le Jour où il sera rendu à la vie.
And peace be upon him the day he was born and the day he dies and the day he is raised alive
Maryam 19:16
وَٱذۡكُرۡ فِي ٱلۡكِتَٰبِ مَرۡيَمَ إِذِ ٱنتَبَذَتۡ مِنۡ أَهۡلِهَا مَكَانٗا شَرۡقِيّٗا
Mentionne dans le Livre l’histoire de Marie qui s’éloigna un jour de sa famille en direction de l’est
And mention, [O Muhammad], in the Book [the story of] Mary, when she withdrew from her family to a place toward the east
Maryam 19:17
فَٱتَّخَذَتۡ مِن دُونِهِمۡ حِجَابٗا فَأَرۡسَلۡنَآ إِلَيۡهَا رُوحَنَا فَتَمَثَّلَ لَهَا بَشَرٗا سَوِيّٗا
où elle se déroba aux regards. Nous lui envoyâmes alors Notre Esprit qui se présenta à elle sous la forme d’un homme accompli.
And she took, in seclusion from them, a screen. Then We sent to her Our Angel, and he represented himself to her as a well-proportioned man
Maryam 19:18
قَالَتۡ إِنِّيٓ أَعُوذُ بِٱلرَّحۡمَٰنِ مِنكَ إِن كُنتَ تَقِيّٗا
Marie dit : « J’implore contre toi la protection du Tout Miséricordieux. Ne m’approche donc pas, si tu crains Allah. »
She said, "Indeed, I seek refuge in the Most Merciful from you, [so leave me], if you should be fearing of Allah
Maryam 19:19
قَالَ إِنَّمَآ أَنَا۠ رَسُولُ رَبِّكِ لِأَهَبَ لَكِ غُلَٰمٗا زَكِيّٗا
Il répondit : « Je suis seulement envoyé par ton Seigneur pour te faire don d’un garçon vertueux. »
He said, "I am only the messenger of your Lord to give you [news of] a pure boy
Maryam 19:20
قَالَتۡ أَنَّىٰ يَكُونُ لِي غُلَٰمٞ وَلَمۡ يَمۡسَسۡنِي بَشَرٞ وَلَمۡ أَكُ بَغِيّٗا
Elle s’étonna : « Comment aurais-je un garçon, moi que nul homme n’a touchée et qui ne suis pas une débauchée ? »
She said, "How can I have a boy while no man has touched me and I have not been unchaste
Maryam 19:21
قَالَ كَذَٰلِكِ قَالَ رَبُّكِ هُوَ عَلَيَّ هَيِّنٞۖ وَلِنَجۡعَلَهُۥٓ ءَايَةٗ لِّلنَّاسِ وَرَحۡمَةٗ مِّنَّاۚ وَكَانَ أَمۡرٗا مَّقۡضِيّٗا
Il répondit : « Il en sera ainsi. Ton Seigneur a dit : “Cela M’est facile”. Nous ferons de lui un signe et une bénédiction pour les hommes. L’arrêt en est déjà prononcé. »
He said, "Thus [it will be]; your Lord says, 'It is easy for Me, and We will make him a sign to the people and a mercy from Us. And it is a matter [already] decreed
Maryam 19:22
۞فَحَمَلَتۡهُ فَٱنتَبَذَتۡ بِهِۦ مَكَانٗا قَصِيّٗا
Enceinte de l’enfant, elle alla se retirer loin des siens.
So she conceived him, and she withdrew with him to a remote place
Maryam 19:23
فَأَجَآءَهَا ٱلۡمَخَاضُ إِلَىٰ جِذۡعِ ٱلنَّخۡلَةِ قَالَتۡ يَٰلَيۡتَنِي مِتُّ قَبۡلَ هَٰذَا وَكُنتُ نَسۡيٗا مَّنسِيّٗا
Les douleurs de l’accouchement l’obligèrent à s’adosser au tronc d’un palmier. Elle s’exclama : « Que je fusse morte avant ce jour et totalement oubliée ! »
And the pains of childbirth drove her to the trunk of a palm tree. She said, "Oh, I wish I had died before this and was in oblivion, forgotten
Maryam 19:24
فَنَادَىٰهَا مِن تَحۡتِهَآ أَلَّا تَحۡزَنِي قَدۡ جَعَلَ رَبُّكِ تَحۡتَكِ سَرِيّٗا
Une voix s’éleva alors vers elle : « Ne sois pas triste. Par la grâce de ton Seigneur, un ruisselet se trouve à tes pieds.
But he called her from below her, "Do not grieve; your Lord has provided beneath you a stream
Maryam 19:25
وَهُزِّيٓ إِلَيۡكِ بِجِذۡعِ ٱلنَّخۡلَةِ تُسَٰقِطۡ عَلَيۡكِ رُطَبٗا جَنِيّٗا
Tire vers toi le tronc du palmier qui laissera tomber sur toi des dattes fraîches.
And shake toward you the trunk of the palm tree; it will drop upon you ripe, fresh dates
Maryam 19:26
فَكُلِي وَٱشۡرَبِي وَقَرِّي عَيۡنٗاۖ فَإِمَّا تَرَيِنَّ مِنَ ٱلۡبَشَرِ أَحَدٗا فَقُولِيٓ إِنِّي نَذَرۡتُ لِلرَّحۡمَٰنِ صَوۡمٗا فَلَنۡ أُكَلِّمَ ٱلۡيَوۡمَ إِنسِيّٗا
Mange donc, bois et réjouis-toi. Et si tu dois rencontrer quelqu’un, dis-lui que tu as fait vœu de silence au Tout Miséricordieux et que tu n’adresseras donc aujourd’hui la parole à personne. »
So eat and drink and be contented. And if you see from among humanity anyone, say, 'Indeed, I have vowed to the Most Merciful abstention, so I will not speak today to [any] man
Maryam 19:27
فَأَتَتۡ بِهِۦ قَوۡمَهَا تَحۡمِلُهُۥۖ قَالُواْ يَٰمَرۡيَمُ لَقَدۡ جِئۡتِ شَيۡـٔٗا فَرِيّٗا
Portant l’enfant, elle retourna auprès des siens qui, la voyant arriver, dirent : « Marie ! Tu as commis une infamie !
Then she brought him to her people, carrying him. They said, "O Mary, you have certainly done a thing unprecedented
Maryam 19:28
يَـٰٓأُخۡتَ هَٰرُونَ مَا كَانَ أَبُوكِ ٱمۡرَأَ سَوۡءٖ وَمَا كَانَتۡ أُمُّكِ بَغِيّٗا
Sœur d’Aaron ! Ton père n’était pas un débauché, ni ta mère une femme de mauvaise vie. »
O sister of Aaron, your father was not a man of evil, nor was your mother unchaste
Maryam 19:29
فَأَشَارَتۡ إِلَيۡهِۖ قَالُواْ كَيۡفَ نُكَلِّمُ مَن كَانَ فِي ٱلۡمَهۡدِ صَبِيّٗا
Marie leur fit alors signe de s’adresser à l’enfant. « Comment, s’étonnèrent-ils, pourrions-nous parler à un enfant au berceau ? »
So she pointed to him. They said, "How can we speak to one who is in the cradle a child
Maryam 19:30
قَالَ إِنِّي عَبۡدُ ٱللَّهِ ءَاتَىٰنِيَ ٱلۡكِتَٰبَ وَجَعَلَنِي نَبِيّٗا
Mais celui-ci prit la parole : « Je suis le serviteur d’Allah qui m’a confié l’Ecriture et a fait de moi un prophète.
[Jesus] said, "Indeed, I am the servant of Allah. He has given me the Scripture and made me a prophet
Maryam 19:31
وَجَعَلَنِي مُبَارَكًا أَيۡنَ مَا كُنتُ وَأَوۡصَٰنِي بِٱلصَّلَوٰةِ وَٱلزَّكَوٰةِ مَا دُمۡتُ حَيّٗا
Il a fait de moi une bénédiction pour les hommes où que je sois et m’a prescrit la prière et la charité tant que je serai en vie.
And He has made me blessed wherever I am and has enjoined upon me prayer and zakah as long as I remain alive
Maryam 19:32
وَبَرَّۢا بِوَٰلِدَتِي وَلَمۡ يَجۡعَلۡنِي جَبَّارٗا شَقِيّٗا
Il a fait de moi un fils pieux envers sa mère, obéissant envers son Seigneur, humble à l’égard des hommes.
And [made me] dutiful to my mother, and He has not made me a wretched tyrant
Maryam 19:33
وَٱلسَّلَٰمُ عَلَيَّ يَوۡمَ وُلِدتُّ وَيَوۡمَ أَمُوتُ وَيَوۡمَ أُبۡعَثُ حَيّٗا
Que la paix soit avec moi le jour de ma naissance, le jour de ma mort et le Jour où je serai rendu à la vie. »
And peace is on me the day I was born and the day I will die and the day I am raised alive
Maryam 19:34
ذَٰلِكَ عِيسَى ٱبۡنُ مَرۡيَمَۖ قَوۡلَ ٱلۡحَقِّ ٱلَّذِي فِيهِ يَمۡتَرُونَ
Telle est la vérité au sujet de Jésus fils de Marie dont ils doutent pourtant.
That is Jesus, the son of Mary - the word of truth about which they are in dispute
Maryam 19:35
مَا كَانَ لِلَّهِ أَن يَتَّخِذَ مِن وَلَدٖۖ سُبۡحَٰنَهُۥٓۚ إِذَا قَضَىٰٓ أَمۡرٗا فَإِنَّمَا يَقُولُ لَهُۥ كُن فَيَكُونُ
Il ne sied pas à Allah de se donner un fils. Gloire à Lui ! Il Lui suffit, lorsqu’Il décrète une chose, de dire : « Sois ! » et celle-ci s’accomplit.
It is not [befitting] for Allah to take a son; exalted is He! When He decrees an affair, He only says to it, "Be," and it is
Maryam 19:36
وَإِنَّ ٱللَّهَ رَبِّي وَرَبُّكُمۡ فَٱعۡبُدُوهُۚ هَٰذَا صِرَٰطٞ مُّسۡتَقِيمٞ
Jésus ajouta : « Allah, en vérité, est mon Seigneur et le vôtre auquel vous devez un culte exclusif et sincère. Telle est la voie du salut. »
[Jesus said], "And indeed, Allah is my Lord and your Lord, so worship Him. That is a straight path
Maryam 19:37
فَٱخۡتَلَفَ ٱلۡأَحۡزَابُ مِنۢ بَيۡنِهِمۡۖ فَوَيۡلٞ لِّلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ مِن مَّشۡهَدِ يَوۡمٍ عَظِيمٍ
Mais bientôt les sectes se divisèrent à son sujet. Malheur donc aux mécréants qui auront à affronter le châtiment d’un jour terrible.
Then the factions differed [concerning Jesus] from among them, so woe to those who disbelieved - from the scene of a tremendous Day
Maryam 19:38
أَسۡمِعۡ بِهِمۡ وَأَبۡصِرۡ يَوۡمَ يَأۡتُونَنَا لَٰكِنِ ٱلظَّـٰلِمُونَ ٱلۡيَوۡمَ فِي ضَلَٰلٖ مُّبِينٖ
Comme ils entendront distinctement et verront clairement le Jour où ils viendront à Nous. Mais les injustes, manifestement égarés, sont aujourd’hui sourds et aveugles à la vérité.
How [clearly] they will hear and see the Day they come to Us, but the wrongdoers today are in clear error
Maryam 19:39
وَأَنذِرۡهُمۡ يَوۡمَ ٱلۡحَسۡرَةِ إِذۡ قُضِيَ ٱلۡأَمۡرُ وَهُمۡ فِي غَفۡلَةٖ وَهُمۡ لَا يُؤۡمِنُونَ
Avertis les hommes du Jour de tous les regrets, Jour où Notre arrêt sera prononcé mais que, dans leur insouciance, ils préfèrent aujourd’hui renier.
And warn them, [O Muhammad], of the Day of Regret, when the matter will be concluded; and [yet], they are in [a state of] heedlessness, and they do not believe
Maryam 19:40
إِنَّا نَحۡنُ نَرِثُ ٱلۡأَرۡضَ وَمَنۡ عَلَيۡهَا وَإِلَيۡنَا يُرۡجَعُونَ
C’est Nous qui hériterons de la terre et de ceux qui la peuplent, c’est à Nous qu’ils seront tous ramenés.
Indeed, it is We who will inherit the earth and whoever is on it, and to Us they will be returned
Maryam 19:41
وَٱذۡكُرۡ فِي ٱلۡكِتَٰبِ إِبۡرَٰهِيمَۚ إِنَّهُۥ كَانَ صِدِّيقٗا نَّبِيًّا
Mentionne dans le Livre l’histoire d’Abraham, un croyant sincère et un prophète.
And mention in the Book [the story of] Abraham. Indeed, he was a man of truth and a prophet
Maryam 19:42
إِذۡ قَالَ لِأَبِيهِ يَـٰٓأَبَتِ لِمَ تَعۡبُدُ مَا لَا يَسۡمَعُ وَلَا يُبۡصِرُ وَلَا يُغۡنِي عَنكَ شَيۡـٔٗا
Il dit un jour à son père : « Père ! Pourquoi adores-tu des idoles incapables d’entendre et de voir, et qui ne te sont d’aucune utilité ?
[Mention] when he said to his father, "O my father, why do you worship that which does not hear and does not see and will not benefit you at all
Maryam 19:43
يَـٰٓأَبَتِ إِنِّي قَدۡ جَآءَنِي مِنَ ٱلۡعِلۡمِ مَا لَمۡ يَأۡتِكَ فَٱتَّبِعۡنِيٓ أَهۡدِكَ صِرَٰطٗا سَوِيّٗا
Père ! Une science que tu n’as pas reçue m’a été révélée. Suis donc ma voie, je t’indiquerai le droit chemin.
O my father, indeed there has come to me of knowledge that which has not come to you, so follow me; I will guide you to an even path
Maryam 19:44
يَـٰٓأَبَتِ لَا تَعۡبُدِ ٱلشَّيۡطَٰنَۖ إِنَّ ٱلشَّيۡطَٰنَ كَانَ لِلرَّحۡمَٰنِ عَصِيّٗا
Père ! N’adore pas les idoles par obéissance à Satan qui s’est révolté contre le Tout Miséricordieux.
O my father, do not worship Satan. Indeed Satan has ever been, to the Most Merciful, disobedient
Maryam 19:45
يَـٰٓأَبَتِ إِنِّيٓ أَخَافُ أَن يَمَسَّكَ عَذَابٞ مِّنَ ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنِ فَتَكُونَ لِلشَّيۡطَٰنِ وَلِيّٗا
Père ! Je crains fort que tu ne sois châtié par le Tout Miséricordieux et ne subisses en Enfer le sort de Satan. »
O my father, indeed I fear that there will touch you a punishment from the Most Merciful so you would be to Satan a companion [in Hellfire]
Maryam 19:46
قَالَ أَرَاغِبٌ أَنتَ عَنۡ ءَالِهَتِي يَـٰٓإِبۡرَٰهِيمُۖ لَئِن لَّمۡ تَنتَهِ لَأَرۡجُمَنَّكَۖ وَٱهۡجُرۡنِي مَلِيّٗا
Son père répliqua : « Te détournerais-tu, Abraham, de mes divinités ? Si tu ne cesses pas de les dénigrer, je te ferai lapider. Eloigne-toi de moi pour longtemps. »
[His father] said, "Have you no desire for my gods, O Abraham? If you do not desist, I will surely stone you, so avoid me a prolonged time
Maryam 19:47
قَالَ سَلَٰمٌ عَلَيۡكَۖ سَأَسۡتَغۡفِرُ لَكَ رَبِّيٓۖ إِنَّهُۥ كَانَ بِي حَفِيّٗا
Abraham dit : « Que la paix soit avec toi ! J’implorerai pour toi le pardon de mon Seigneur qui s’est toujours montré d’une grande bonté envers moi.
[Abraham] said, "Peace will be upon you. I will ask forgiveness for you of my Lord. Indeed, He is ever gracious to me
Maryam 19:48
وَأَعۡتَزِلُكُمۡ وَمَا تَدۡعُونَ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ وَأَدۡعُواْ رَبِّي عَسَىٰٓ أَلَّآ أَكُونَ بِدُعَآءِ رَبِّي شَقِيّٗا
Je me sépare de vous et des idoles que vous adorez en dehors d’Allah et j’implore les faveurs de mon Seigneur, en espérant ne pas être déçu en L’invoquant. »
And I will leave you and those you invoke other than Allah and will invoke my Lord. I expect that I will not be in invocation to my Lord unhappy
Maryam 19:49
فَلَمَّا ٱعۡتَزَلَهُمۡ وَمَا يَعۡبُدُونَ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ وَهَبۡنَا لَهُۥٓ إِسۡحَٰقَ وَيَعۡقُوبَۖ وَكُلّٗا جَعَلۡنَا نَبِيّٗا
Lorsqu’il se fut séparé de son peuple et des idoles que ce dernier vénérait en dehors d’Allah, Nous lui avons fait don d’Isaac et de Jacob que Nous avons tous deux élevés au rang de prophètes.
So when he had left them and those they worshipped other than Allah, We gave him Isaac and Jacob, and each [of them] We made a prophet
Maryam 19:50
وَوَهَبۡنَا لَهُم مِّن رَّحۡمَتِنَا وَجَعَلۡنَا لَهُمۡ لِسَانَ صِدۡقٍ عَلِيّٗا
Nous avons comblé de Nos faveurs chacun d’entre eux dont les vertus, par Notre grâce, sont passées à la postérité.
And We gave them of Our mercy, and we made for them a reputation of high honor
Maryam 19:51
وَٱذۡكُرۡ فِي ٱلۡكِتَٰبِ مُوسَىٰٓۚ إِنَّهُۥ كَانَ مُخۡلَصٗا وَكَانَ رَسُولٗا نَّبِيّٗا
Mentionne, dans le Livre, Moïse qui fut Notre serviteur dévoué et que Nous avons élu en faisant de lui un prophète et un Messager.
And mention in the Book, Moses. Indeed, he was chosen, and he was a messenger and a prophet
Maryam 19:52
وَنَٰدَيۡنَٰهُ مِن جَانِبِ ٱلطُّورِ ٱلۡأَيۡمَنِ وَقَرَّبۡنَٰهُ نَجِيّٗا
Nous l’avons appelé du versant du mont Sinaï qui se trouvait sur sa droite, lui ordonnant de s’approcher, et lui avons adressé la parole.
And We called him from the side of the mount at [his] right and brought him near, confiding [to him]
Maryam 19:53
وَوَهَبۡنَا لَهُۥ مِن رَّحۡمَتِنَآ أَخَاهُ هَٰرُونَ نَبِيّٗا
Par un effet de Notre grâce, Nous l’avons assisté de son frère Aaron que Nous avons également élevé au rang de prophète.
And We gave him out of Our mercy his brother Aaron as a prophet
Maryam 19:54
وَٱذۡكُرۡ فِي ٱلۡكِتَٰبِ إِسۡمَٰعِيلَۚ إِنَّهُۥ كَانَ صَادِقَ ٱلۡوَعۡدِ وَكَانَ رَسُولٗا نَّبِيّٗا
Mentionne dans le Livre Ismaël qui se montrait toujours fidèle à ses engagements et fut un prophète et un Messager.
And mention in the Book, Ishmael. Indeed, he was true to his promise, and he was a messenger and a prophet
Maryam 19:55
وَكَانَ يَأۡمُرُ أَهۡلَهُۥ بِٱلصَّلَوٰةِ وَٱلزَّكَوٰةِ وَكَانَ عِندَ رَبِّهِۦ مَرۡضِيّٗا
Il exhortait les siens à accomplir la prière et à faire la charité, et était en grâce auprès de son Seigneur.
And he used to enjoin on his people prayer and zakah and was to his Lord pleasing
Maryam 19:56
وَٱذۡكُرۡ فِي ٱلۡكِتَٰبِ إِدۡرِيسَۚ إِنَّهُۥ كَانَ صِدِّيقٗا نَّبِيّٗا
Mentionne dans le Livre Idriss, un croyant sincère et un prophète
And mention in the Book, Idrees. Indeed, he was a man of truth and a prophet
Maryam 19:57
وَرَفَعۡنَٰهُ مَكَانًا عَلِيًّا
que Nous avons élevé à un haut rang.
And We raised him to a high station
Maryam 19:58
أُوْلَـٰٓئِكَ ٱلَّذِينَ أَنۡعَمَ ٱللَّهُ عَلَيۡهِم مِّنَ ٱلنَّبِيِّـۧنَ مِن ذُرِّيَّةِ ءَادَمَ وَمِمَّنۡ حَمَلۡنَا مَعَ نُوحٖ وَمِن ذُرِّيَّةِ إِبۡرَٰهِيمَ وَإِسۡرَـٰٓءِيلَ وَمِمَّنۡ هَدَيۡنَا وَٱجۡتَبَيۡنَآۚ إِذَا تُتۡلَىٰ عَلَيۡهِمۡ ءَايَٰتُ ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنِ خَرُّواْۤ سُجَّدٗاۤ وَبُكِيّٗا۩
Voici ceux qu’Allah a comblés de Ses faveurs parmi les prophètes de la descendance d’Adam, de la postérité des hommes que Nous avons transportés dans l’Arche avec Noé, de la descendance d’Abraham et d’Israël, et parmi tous les prophètes que Nous avons élus et guidés. Lorsque les versets du Tout Miséricordieux leur étaient récités, ils se jetaient face contre terre et éclataient en sanglots.
Those were the ones upon whom Allah bestowed favor from among the prophets of the descendants of Adam and of those We carried [in the ship] with Noah, and of the descendants of Abraham and Israel, and of those whom We guided and chose. When the verses of the Most Merciful were recited to them, they fell in prostration and weeping
Maryam 19:59
۞فَخَلَفَ مِنۢ بَعۡدِهِمۡ خَلۡفٌ أَضَاعُواْ ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ وَٱتَّبَعُواْ ٱلشَّهَوَٰتِۖ فَسَوۡفَ يَلۡقَوۡنَ غَيًّا
Mais leur succédèrent des générations toutes plus misérables les unes que les autres qui, préoccupées uniquement par l’assouvissement de leurs passions, négligèrent le culte du Seigneur. Elles sont donc vouées à la perdition.
But there came after them successors who neglected prayer and pursued desires; so they are going to meet evil
Maryam 19:60
إِلَّا مَن تَابَ وَءَامَنَ وَعَمِلَ صَٰلِحٗا فَأُوْلَـٰٓئِكَ يَدۡخُلُونَ ٱلۡجَنَّةَ وَلَا يُظۡلَمُونَ شَيۡـٔٗا
A l’exception de ceux qui se sont repentis, ont cru en leur Seigneur et ont accompli de bonnes œuvres, qui entreront au Paradis où ils ne seront en rien lésés.
Except those who repent, believe and do righteousness; for those will enter Paradise and will not be wronged at all
Maryam 19:61
جَنَّـٰتِ عَدۡنٍ ٱلَّتِي وَعَدَ ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنُ عِبَادَهُۥ بِٱلۡغَيۡبِۚ إِنَّهُۥ كَانَ وَعۡدُهُۥ مَأۡتِيّٗا
Ils seront, au contraire, admis dans les jardins d’Eden que le Tout Miséricordieux a promis de toute éternité à Ses adorateurs. Sa promesse s’accomplira de façon inéluctable.
[Therein are] gardens of perpetual residence which the Most Merciful has promised His servants in the unseen. Indeed, His promise has ever been coming
Maryam 19:62
لَّا يَسۡمَعُونَ فِيهَا لَغۡوًا إِلَّا سَلَٰمٗاۖ وَلَهُمۡ رِزۡقُهُمۡ فِيهَا بُكۡرَةٗ وَعَشِيّٗا
Ils n’y entendront aucune futilité, mais seulement les mots les plus agréables : « La paix soit avec vous », et y recevront matin et soir les nourritures les plus désirables.
They will not hear therein any ill speech - only [greetings of] peace - and they will have their provision therein, morning and afternoon
Maryam 19:63
تِلۡكَ ٱلۡجَنَّةُ ٱلَّتِي نُورِثُ مِنۡ عِبَادِنَا مَن كَانَ تَقِيّٗا
Tel est le Paradis dont Nous ferons hériter ceux de Nos serviteurs qui étaient habités par Notre crainte.
That is Paradise, which We give as inheritance to those of Our servants who were fearing of Allah
Maryam 19:64
وَمَا نَتَنَزَّلُ إِلَّا بِأَمۡرِ رَبِّكَۖ لَهُۥ مَا بَيۡنَ أَيۡدِينَا وَمَا خَلۡفَنَا وَمَا بَيۡنَ ذَٰلِكَۚ وَمَا كَانَ رَبُّكَ نَسِيّٗا
« Nous ne descendons que sur ordre de ton Seigneur qui est le Maître de notre avenir, de notre passé et de notre présent, et qui n’oublie jamais rien », disent les anges.
[Gabriel said], "And we [angels] descend not except by the order of your Lord. To Him belongs that before us and that behind us and what is in between. And never is your Lord forgetful
Maryam 19:65
رَّبُّ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضِ وَمَا بَيۡنَهُمَا فَٱعۡبُدۡهُ وَٱصۡطَبِرۡ لِعِبَٰدَتِهِۦۚ هَلۡ تَعۡلَمُ لَهُۥ سَمِيّٗا
Il est le Seigneur des cieux et de la terre et de ce qui se trouve entre eux. Attache-toi donc patiemment à Son culte. Connais-tu quelqu’un qui Lui soit semblable ou qui porte son Nom ?
Lord of the heavens and the earth and whatever is between them - so worship Him and have patience for His worship. Do you know of any similarity to Him
Maryam 19:66
وَيَقُولُ ٱلۡإِنسَٰنُ أَءِذَا مَا مِتُّ لَسَوۡفَ أُخۡرَجُ حَيًّا
L’homme s’étonne : « Me fera-t-on, une fois mort, sortir de ma tombe vivant ? »
And the disbeliever says, "When I have died, am I going to be brought forth alive
Maryam 19:67
أَوَلَا يَذۡكُرُ ٱلۡإِنسَٰنُ أَنَّا خَلَقۡنَٰهُ مِن قَبۡلُ وَلَمۡ يَكُ شَيۡـٔٗا
L’homme ne se souvient-il pas que Nous l’avons, avant cela, tiré du néant ?
Does man not remember that We created him before, while he was nothing
Maryam 19:68
فَوَرَبِّكَ لَنَحۡشُرَنَّهُمۡ وَٱلشَّيَٰطِينَ ثُمَّ لَنُحۡضِرَنَّهُمۡ حَوۡلَ جَهَنَّمَ جِثِيّٗا
Par ton Seigneur ! Nous rassemblerons ceux qui renient la Résurrection, accompagnés de leurs démons, puis les conduirons autour de la Géhenne où ils se tiendront à genoux.
So by your Lord, We will surely gather them and the devils; then We will bring them to be present around Hell upon their knees
Maryam 19:69
ثُمَّ لَنَنزِعَنَّ مِن كُلِّ شِيعَةٍ أَيُّهُمۡ أَشَدُّ عَلَى ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنِ عِتِيّٗا
Nous arracherons alors de chaque groupe ceux qui furent les plus rebelles au Tout Miséricordieux.
Then We will surely extract from every sect those of them who were worst against the Most Merciful in insolence
Maryam 19:70
ثُمَّ لَنَحۡنُ أَعۡلَمُ بِٱلَّذِينَ هُمۡ أَوۡلَىٰ بِهَا صِلِيّٗا
Nous savons parfaitement qui mérite le plus de brûler dans le feu de l’Enfer.
Then, surely it is We who are most knowing of those most worthy of burning therein
Maryam 19:71
وَإِن مِّنكُمۡ إِلَّا وَارِدُهَاۚ كَانَ عَلَىٰ رَبِّكَ حَتۡمٗا مَّقۡضِيّٗا
Il n’est pas un seul d’entre vous qui ne doive l’affronter, conformément au décret irrévocable de ton Seigneur.
And there is none of you except he will come to it. This is upon your Lord an inevitability decreed
Maryam 19:72
ثُمَّ نُنَجِّي ٱلَّذِينَ ٱتَّقَواْ وَّنَذَرُ ٱلظَّـٰلِمِينَ فِيهَا جِثِيّٗا
Nous sauverons alors ceux qui auront craint le Seigneur et y abandonnerons les impies à genoux.
Then We will save those who feared Allah and leave the wrongdoers within it, on their knees
Maryam 19:73
وَإِذَا تُتۡلَىٰ عَلَيۡهِمۡ ءَايَٰتُنَا بَيِّنَٰتٖ قَالَ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ لِلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوٓاْ أَيُّ ٱلۡفَرِيقَيۡنِ خَيۡرٞ مَّقَامٗا وَأَحۡسَنُ نَدِيّٗا
Lorsque Nos versets, parfaitement clairs, leur sont récités, les mécréants disent aux croyants : « Qui, de vous ou de nous, jouit de la situation la plus avantageuse et dispose des plus nombreux partisans ? »
And when Our verses are recited to them as clear evidences, those who disbelieve say to those who believe, "Which of [our] two parties is best in position and best in association
Maryam 19:74
وَكَمۡ أَهۡلَكۡنَا قَبۡلَهُم مِّن قَرۡنٍ هُمۡ أَحۡسَنُ أَثَٰثٗا وَرِءۡيٗا
Que de peuples avons-Nous anéantis avant eux, autrement plus opulents et d’un faste plus éclatant.
And how many a generation have We destroyed before them who were better in possessions and [outward] appearance
Maryam 19:75
قُلۡ مَن كَانَ فِي ٱلضَّلَٰلَةِ فَلۡيَمۡدُدۡ لَهُ ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنُ مَدًّاۚ حَتَّىٰٓ إِذَا رَأَوۡاْ مَا يُوعَدُونَ إِمَّا ٱلۡعَذَابَ وَإِمَّا ٱلسَّاعَةَ فَسَيَعۡلَمُونَ مَنۡ هُوَ شَرّٞ مَّكَانٗا وَأَضۡعَفُ جُندٗا
Dis : « Le Tout Miséricordieux laissera s’enfoncer dans l’impiété ceux qui sont égarés, jusqu’à ce qu’ils voient de leurs propres yeux ce dont ils sont menacés : le châtiment ou l’avènement de l’Heure. Ils sauront alors qui occupe la position la moins enviable et dispose des soutiens les plus fragiles. »
Say, "Whoever is in error - let the Most Merciful extend for him an extension [in wealth and time] until, when they see that which they were promised - either punishment [in this world] or the Hour [of resurrection] - they will come to know who is worst in position and weaker in soldiers
Maryam 19:76
وَيَزِيدُ ٱللَّهُ ٱلَّذِينَ ٱهۡتَدَوۡاْ هُدٗىۗ وَٱلۡبَٰقِيَٰتُ ٱلصَّـٰلِحَٰتُ خَيۡرٌ عِندَ رَبِّكَ ثَوَابٗا وَخَيۡرٞ مَّرَدًّا
A l’inverse, Allah raffermira la foi de ceux qui suivent le droit chemin, dont les bonnes œuvres trouveront à jamais auprès de ton Seigneur la récompense la plus généreuse et auront les conséquences les plus heureuses.
And Allah increases those who were guided, in guidance, and the enduring good deeds are better to your Lord for reward and better for recourse
Maryam 19:77
أَفَرَءَيۡتَ ٱلَّذِي كَفَرَ بِـَٔايَٰتِنَا وَقَالَ لَأُوتَيَنَّ مَالٗا وَوَلَدًا
As-tu vu celui qui, après avoir renié Nos signes, prétend : « Si je devais être ressuscité, il me sera certainement accordé richesses et enfants » ?
Then, have you seen he who disbelieved in Our verses and said, "I will surely be given wealth and children [in the next life]
Maryam 19:78
أَطَّلَعَ ٱلۡغَيۡبَ أَمِ ٱتَّخَذَ عِندَ ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنِ عَهۡدٗا
Est-il capable de lire l’avenir ou alors en aurait-il reçu l’engagement du Tout Miséricordieux ?
Has he looked into the unseen, or has he taken from the Most Merciful a promise
Maryam 19:79
كَلَّاۚ سَنَكۡتُبُ مَا يَقُولُ وَنَمُدُّ لَهُۥ مِنَ ٱلۡعَذَابِ مَدّٗا
Sûrement pas ! Nous consignerons chacune de ses paroles et accroîtrons ses tourments.
No! We will record what he says and extend for him from the punishment extensively
Maryam 19:80
وَنَرِثُهُۥ مَا يَقُولُ وَيَأۡتِينَا فَرۡدٗا
C’est Nous, au contraire, qui hériterons de ses richesses et de ses enfants, si bien qu’il viendra à Nous, seul et sans le sou.
And We will inherit him [in] what he mentions, and he will come to Us alone
Maryam 19:81
وَٱتَّخَذُواْ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ ءَالِهَةٗ لِّيَكُونُواْ لَهُمۡ عِزّٗا
Les païens vouent un culte à d’autres divinités qu’Allah dans l’espoir de bénéficier de leur soutien.
And they have taken besides Allah [false] deities that they would be for them [a source of] honor
Maryam 19:82
كَلَّاۚ سَيَكۡفُرُونَ بِعِبَادَتِهِمۡ وَيَكُونُونَ عَلَيۡهِمۡ ضِدًّا
Pourtant, ils renieront un jour leur adoration et leur déclareront leur animosité.
No! Those "gods" will deny their worship of them and will be against them opponents [on the Day of Judgement]
Maryam 19:83
أَلَمۡ تَرَ أَنَّآ أَرۡسَلۡنَا ٱلشَّيَٰطِينَ عَلَى ٱلۡكَٰفِرِينَ تَؤُزُّهُمۡ أَزّٗا
Ne vois-tu pas que Nous livrons les mécréants aux démons qui ne cessent de les pousser au péché et à la rébellion ?
Do you not see that We have sent the devils upon the disbelievers, inciting them to [evil] with [constant] incitement
Maryam 19:84
فَلَا تَعۡجَلۡ عَلَيۡهِمۡۖ إِنَّمَا نَعُدُّ لَهُمۡ عَدّٗا
Ne cherche donc pas à précipiter leur châtiment. Nous tenons le compte précis des jours qui leur restent à vivre et de leurs agissements.
So be not impatient over them. We only count out to them a [limited] number
Maryam 19:85
يَوۡمَ نَحۡشُرُ ٱلۡمُتَّقِينَ إِلَى ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنِ وَفۡدٗا
Un jour, sur Notre ordre, les pieux croyants seront rassemblés avec tous les honneurs devant le Tout Miséricordieux,
On the Day We will gather the righteous to the Most Merciful as a delegation
Maryam 19:86
وَنَسُوقُ ٱلۡمُجۡرِمِينَ إِلَىٰ جَهَنَّمَ وِرۡدٗا
tandis que les mécréants, tourmentés par la soif, seront poussés vers la Géhenne.
And will drive the criminals to Hell in thirst
Maryam 19:87
لَّا يَمۡلِكُونَ ٱلشَّفَٰعَةَ إِلَّا مَنِ ٱتَّخَذَ عِندَ ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنِ عَهۡدٗا
Ces derniers ne bénéficieront d’aucune intercession, contrairement à ceux qui en auront obtenu la promesse du Tout Miséricordieux parmi les croyants.
None will have [power of] intercession except he who had taken from the Most Merciful a covenant
Maryam 19:88
وَقَالُواْ ٱتَّخَذَ ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنُ وَلَدٗا
Ils prétendent que le Tout Miséricordieux s’est donné un enfant.
And they say, "The Most Merciful has taken [for Himself] a son
Maryam 19:89
لَّقَدۡ جِئۡتُمۡ شَيۡـًٔا إِدّٗا
Vous proférez là, assurément, un odieux blasphème.
You have done an atrocious thing
Maryam 19:90
تَكَادُ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتُ يَتَفَطَّرۡنَ مِنۡهُ وَتَنشَقُّ ٱلۡأَرۡضُ وَتَخِرُّ ٱلۡجِبَالُ هَدًّا
Peu s’en faut que les cieux ne s’entrouvrent à ces mots, que la terre ne se fende et que les montagnes ne s’écroulent,
The heavens almost rupture therefrom and the earth splits open and the mountains collapse in devastation
Maryam 19:91
أَن دَعَوۡاْ لِلرَّحۡمَٰنِ وَلَدٗا
parce qu’ils ont attribué au Tout Miséricordieux un enfant.
That they attribute to the Most Merciful a son
Maryam 19:92
وَمَا يَنۢبَغِي لِلرَّحۡمَٰنِ أَن يَتَّخِذَ وَلَدًا
Or, il ne sied pas au Tout Miséricordieux de se donner un enfant.
And it is not appropriate for the Most Merciful that He should take a son
Maryam 19:93
إِن كُلُّ مَن فِي ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضِ إِلَّآ ءَاتِي ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنِ عَبۡدٗا
Tous les êtres qui peuplent les cieux et la terre se présenteront en toute soumission devant le Tout Miséricordieux.
There is no one in the heavens and earth but that he comes to the Most Merciful as a servant
Maryam 19:94
لَّقَدۡ أَحۡصَىٰهُمۡ وَعَدَّهُمۡ عَدّٗا
Il les a recensés du premier au dernier, sans qu’un seul ne manque à l’appel.
He has enumerated them and counted them a [full] counting
Maryam 19:95
وَكُلُّهُمۡ ءَاتِيهِ يَوۡمَ ٱلۡقِيَٰمَةِ فَرۡدًا
Chacun d’eux, le Jour de la résurrection, se présentera seul devant Lui.
And all of them are coming to Him on the Day of Resurrection alone
Maryam 19:96
إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ وَعَمِلُواْ ٱلصَّـٰلِحَٰتِ سَيَجۡعَلُ لَهُمُ ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنُ وُدّٗا
Le Tout Miséricordieux accordera Son amour et celui de Ses serviteurs aux croyants qui accomplissent de bonnes œuvres.
Indeed, those who have believed and done righteous deeds - the Most Merciful will appoint for them affection
Maryam 19:97
فَإِنَّمَا يَسَّرۡنَٰهُ بِلِسَانِكَ لِتُبَشِّرَ بِهِ ٱلۡمُتَّقِينَ وَتُنذِرَ بِهِۦ قَوۡمٗا لُّدّٗا
Nous en avons facilité la compréhension en le révélant dans ta langue afin que, par lui, tu annonces l’heureuse nouvelle à ceux qui Nous craignent et que tu avertisses un peuple rebelle.
So, [O Muhammad], We have only made Qur'an easy in the Arabic language that you may give good tidings thereby to the righteous and warn thereby a hostile people
Maryam 19:98
وَكَمۡ أَهۡلَكۡنَا قَبۡلَهُم مِّن قَرۡنٍ هَلۡ تُحِسُّ مِنۡهُم مِّنۡ أَحَدٍ أَوۡ تَسۡمَعُ لَهُمۡ رِكۡزَۢا
Que de peuples avons-Nous anéantis avant eux ! En vois-tu un seul survivant, en perçois-tu le moindre murmure ?
And how many have We destroyed before them of generations? Do you perceive of them anyone or hear from them a sound
