Sourate Al-Qamar (54) — La Lune · القمر
Sourate mecquoise, 55 versets, révélée en 37e position.
La lune fendue et le Coran rendu facile à retenir.
Al-Qamar 54:1
ٱقۡتَرَبَتِ ٱلسَّاعَةُ وَٱنشَقَّ ٱلۡقَمَرُ
L’Heure approche et la lune s’est fendue.
The Hour has come near, and the moon has split [in two]
Al-Qamar 54:2
وَإِن يَرَوۡاْ ءَايَةٗ يُعۡرِضُواْ وَيَقُولُواْ سِحۡرٞ مُّسۡتَمِرّٞ
Or, s’ils voient un miracle, ils s’en détournent en disant : « C’est la même magie qui continue. »
And if they see a miracle, they turn away and say, "Passing magic
Al-Qamar 54:3
وَكَذَّبُواْ وَٱتَّبَعُوٓاْ أَهۡوَآءَهُمۡۚ وَكُلُّ أَمۡرٖ مُّسۡتَقِرّٞ
Obéissant à leurs passions, ils crient au mensonge. Mais chaque chose arrivera en temps voulu.
And they denied and followed their inclinations. But for every matter is a [time of] settlement
Al-Qamar 54:4
وَلَقَدۡ جَآءَهُم مِّنَ ٱلۡأَنۢبَآءِ مَا فِيهِ مُزۡدَجَرٌ
Pourtant, les récits qui leur sont rapportés sont bien suffisants pour les arracher à leur égarement.
And there has already come to them of information that in which there is deterrence
Al-Qamar 54:5
حِكۡمَةُۢ بَٰلِغَةٞۖ فَمَا تُغۡنِ ٱلنُّذُرُ
Des récits empreints d’une sagesse infinie, mais ils restent sourds à tous Nos avertissements.
Extensive wisdom - but warning does not avail [them]
Al-Qamar 54:6
فَتَوَلَّ عَنۡهُمۡۘ يَوۡمَ يَدۡعُ ٱلدَّاعِ إِلَىٰ شَيۡءٖ نُّكُرٍ
Détourne-toi d’eux ! Le Jour où l’ange appellera les hommes à se diriger vers un lieu terrifiant,
So leave them, [O Muhammad]. The Day the Caller calls to something forbidding
Al-Qamar 54:7
خُشَّعًا أَبۡصَٰرُهُمۡ يَخۡرُجُونَ مِنَ ٱلۡأَجۡدَاثِ كَأَنَّهُمۡ جَرَادٞ مُّنتَشِرٞ
ces derniers, regards humiliés, sortiront de leurs tombes, à l’image de sauterelles s’éparpillant
Their eyes humbled, they will emerge from the graves as if they were locusts spreading
Al-Qamar 54:8
مُّهۡطِعِينَ إِلَى ٱلدَّاعِۖ يَقُولُ ٱلۡكَٰفِرُونَ هَٰذَا يَوۡمٌ عَسِرٞ
hâtivement en réponse à l’appel. « Voici un jour terrible », diront alors les mécréants.
Racing ahead toward the Caller. The disbelievers will say, "This is a difficult Day
Al-Qamar 54:9
۞كَذَّبَتۡ قَبۡلَهُمۡ قَوۡمُ نُوحٖ فَكَذَّبُواْ عَبۡدَنَا وَقَالُواْ مَجۡنُونٞ وَٱزۡدُجِرَ
Avant eux, le peuple de Noé avait crié à l’imposture, traitant Notre serviteur de menteur et de possédé, le repoussant sans ménagement.
The people of Noah denied before them, and they denied Our servant and said, "A madman," and he was repelled
Al-Qamar 54:10
فَدَعَا رَبَّهُۥٓ أَنِّي مَغۡلُوبٞ فَٱنتَصِرۡ
Invoquant son Seigneur, il dit : « Venge-moi de ce peuple qui me laisse impuissant ! »
So he invoked his Lord, "Indeed, I am overpowered, so help
Al-Qamar 54:11
فَفَتَحۡنَآ أَبۡوَٰبَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ بِمَآءٖ مُّنۡهَمِرٖ
Nous avons alors ouvert les portes du ciel à une pluie diluvienne
Then We opened the gates of the heaven with rain pouring down
Al-Qamar 54:12
وَفَجَّرۡنَا ٱلۡأَرۡضَ عُيُونٗا فَٱلۡتَقَى ٱلۡمَآءُ عَلَىٰٓ أَمۡرٖ قَدۡ قُدِرَ
et fait jaillir de la terre une multitude de sources, si bien que les eaux se confondirent selon un décret préalable.
And caused the earth to burst with springs, and the waters met for a matter already predestined
Al-Qamar 54:13
وَحَمَلۡنَٰهُ عَلَىٰ ذَاتِ أَلۡوَٰحٖ وَدُسُرٖ
Nous l’avons sauvé dans une embarcation formée de planches et de clous
And We carried him on a [construction of] planks and nails
Al-Qamar 54:14
تَجۡرِي بِأَعۡيُنِنَا جَزَآءٗ لِّمَن كَانَ كُفِرَ
qui voguait sous Nos Yeux, afin de récompenser celui qui avait été renié.
Sailing under Our observation as reward for he who had been denied
Al-Qamar 54:15
وَلَقَد تَّرَكۡنَٰهَآ ءَايَةٗ فَهَلۡ مِن مُّدَّكِرٖ
Nous en avons fait un signe pour l’humanité. Y a-t-il quelqu’un pour en tirer des leçons ?
And We left it as a sign, so is there any who will remember
Al-Qamar 54:16
فَكَيۡفَ كَانَ عَذَابِي وَنُذُرِ
Terrible fut alors Mon châtiment pourtant précédé d’avertissements !
And how [severe] were My punishment and warning
Al-Qamar 54:17
وَلَقَدۡ يَسَّرۡنَا ٱلۡقُرۡءَانَ لِلذِّكۡرِ فَهَلۡ مِن مُّدَّكِرٖ
Nous avons rendu le Coran aisé à comprendre. Y a-t-il quelqu’un pour en méditer les enseignements ?
And We have certainly made the Qur'an easy for remembrance, so is there any who will remember
Al-Qamar 54:18
كَذَّبَتۡ عَادٞ فَكَيۡفَ كَانَ عَذَابِي وَنُذُرِ
Les ‘Ad aussi ont crié au mensonge. Terrible fut alors Mon châtiment pourtant précédé d’avertissements !
Aad denied; and how [severe] were My punishment and warning
Al-Qamar 54:19
إِنَّآ أَرۡسَلۡنَا عَلَيۡهِمۡ رِيحٗا صَرۡصَرٗا فِي يَوۡمِ نَحۡسٖ مُّسۡتَمِرّٖ
Nous avons suscité contre eux, en un jour funeste et interminable, un vent glacial
Indeed, We sent upon them a screaming wind on a day of continuous misfortune
Al-Qamar 54:20
تَنزِعُ ٱلنَّاسَ كَأَنَّهُمۡ أَعۡجَازُ نَخۡلٖ مُّنقَعِرٖ
qui arrachait violemment les hommes du sol où ils retombaient comme des troncs de palmiers déracinés.
Extracting the people as if they were trunks of palm trees uprooted
Al-Qamar 54:21
فَكَيۡفَ كَانَ عَذَابِي وَنُذُرِ
Terrible fut alors Mon châtiment pourtant précédé d’avertissements !
And how [severe] were My punishment and warning
Al-Qamar 54:22
وَلَقَدۡ يَسَّرۡنَا ٱلۡقُرۡءَانَ لِلذِّكۡرِ فَهَلۡ مِن مُّدَّكِرٖ
Nous avons rendu le Coran aisé à comprendre. Y a-t-il quelqu’un pour en méditer les enseignements ?
And We have certainly made the Qur'an easy for remembrance, so is there any who will remember
Al-Qamar 54:23
كَذَّبَتۡ ثَمُودُ بِٱلنُّذُرِ
Les Thamoud n’ont pas cru en Nos avertissements.
Thamud denied the warning
Al-Qamar 54:24
فَقَالُوٓاْ أَبَشَرٗا مِّنَّا وَٰحِدٗا نَّتَّبِعُهُۥٓ إِنَّآ إِذٗا لَّفِي ضَلَٰلٖ وَسُعُرٍ
Ils dirent : « Allons-nous suivre un homme isolé parmi nous ? Nous serions alors dans l’erreur et frappés de folie.
And said, "Is it one human being among us that we should follow? Indeed, we would then be in error and madness
Al-Qamar 54:25
أَءُلۡقِيَ ٱلذِّكۡرُ عَلَيۡهِ مِنۢ بَيۡنِنَا بَلۡ هُوَ كَذَّابٌ أَشِرٞ
A-t-il été choisi parmi nous pour recevoir la Révélation ? C’est au contraire un menteur effronté ! »
Has the message been sent down upon him from among us? Rather, he is an insolent liar
Al-Qamar 54:26
سَيَعۡلَمُونَ غَدٗا مَّنِ ٱلۡكَذَّابُ ٱلۡأَشِرُ
Ils sauront bientôt qui est le menteur effronté.
They will know tomorrow who is the insolent liar
Al-Qamar 54:27
إِنَّا مُرۡسِلُواْ ٱلنَّاقَةِ فِتۡنَةٗ لَّهُمۡ فَٱرۡتَقِبۡهُمۡ وَٱصۡطَبِرۡ
« Nous allons leur envoyer une chamelle afin de les éprouver. Attends patiemment leur réaction et de voir ce qui va leur arriver.
Indeed, We are sending the she-camel as trial for them, so watch them and be patient
Al-Qamar 54:28
وَنَبِّئۡهُمۡ أَنَّ ٱلۡمَآءَ قِسۡمَةُۢ بَيۡنَهُمۡۖ كُلُّ شِرۡبٖ مُّحۡتَضَرٞ
Informe-les qu’ils auront accès à l’eau à tour de rôle avec la chamelle. »
And inform them that the water is shared between them, each [day of] drink attended [by turn]
Al-Qamar 54:29
فَنَادَوۡاْ صَاحِبَهُمۡ فَتَعَاطَىٰ فَعَقَرَ
Mais ils firent appel à l’un des leurs qui se chargea d’abattre la chamelle.
But they called their companion, and he dared and hamstrung [her]
Al-Qamar 54:30
فَكَيۡفَ كَانَ عَذَابِي وَنُذُرِ
Terrible fut alors Mon châtiment pourtant précédé d’avertissements !
And how [severe] were My punishment and warning
Al-Qamar 54:31
إِنَّآ أَرۡسَلۡنَا عَلَيۡهِمۡ صَيۡحَةٗ وَٰحِدَةٗ فَكَانُواْ كَهَشِيمِ ٱلۡمُحۡتَظِرِ
Nous avons lancé contre eux un seul Cri et les voilà réduits à l’état de paille desséchée.
Indeed, We sent upon them one blast from the sky, and they became like the dry twig fragments of an [animal] pen
Al-Qamar 54:32
وَلَقَدۡ يَسَّرۡنَا ٱلۡقُرۡءَانَ لِلذِّكۡرِ فَهَلۡ مِن مُّدَّكِرٖ
Nous avons rendu le Coran aisé à comprendre. Y a-t-il quelqu’un pour en méditer les enseignements ?
And We have certainly made the Qur'an easy for remembrance, so is there any who will remember
Al-Qamar 54:33
كَذَّبَتۡ قَوۡمُ لُوطِۭ بِٱلنُّذُرِ
Le peuple de Loth n’a pas cru en Nos avertissements.
The people of Lot denied the warning
Al-Qamar 54:34
إِنَّآ أَرۡسَلۡنَا عَلَيۡهِمۡ حَاصِبًا إِلَّآ ءَالَ لُوطٖۖ نَّجَّيۡنَٰهُم بِسَحَرٖ
Nous avons déchaîné contre lui une tempête de pierres. Tous furent anéantis à l’exception de la famille de Loth que Nous avons sauvée à la fin de la nuit
Indeed, We sent upon them a storm of stones, except the family of Lot - We saved them before dawn
Al-Qamar 54:35
نِّعۡمَةٗ مِّنۡ عِندِنَاۚ كَذَٰلِكَ نَجۡزِي مَن شَكَرَ
par un effet de Notre grâce. C’est ainsi que Nous récompensons ceux qui se montrent reconnaissants.
As favor from us. Thus do We reward he who is grateful
Al-Qamar 54:36
وَلَقَدۡ أَنذَرَهُم بَطۡشَتَنَا فَتَمَارَوۡاْ بِٱلنُّذُرِ
Loth les avait pourtant mis en garde contre la violence de Notre châtiment, mais ils avaient ignoré ses avertissements.
And he had already warned them of Our assault, but they disputed the warning
Al-Qamar 54:37
وَلَقَدۡ رَٰوَدُوهُ عَن ضَيۡفِهِۦ فَطَمَسۡنَآ أَعۡيُنَهُمۡ فَذُوقُواْ عَذَابِي وَنُذُرِ
Ils avaient exigé de Loth que ses hôtes leur soient livrés, mais Nous les avons frappés de cécité : « Goûtez donc Mon châtiment contre lequel Je vous avais mis en garde ! »
And they had demanded from him his guests, but We obliterated their eyes, [saying], "Taste My punishment and warning
Al-Qamar 54:38
وَلَقَدۡ صَبَّحَهُم بُكۡرَةً عَذَابٞ مُّسۡتَقِرّٞ
Au matin, un châtiment interminable s’abattit sur eux.
And there came upon them by morning an abiding punishment
Al-Qamar 54:39
فَذُوقُواْ عَذَابِي وَنُذُرِ
« Goûtez donc Mon châtiment contre lequel Je vous avais mis en garde ! »
So taste My punishment and warning
Al-Qamar 54:40
وَلَقَدۡ يَسَّرۡنَا ٱلۡقُرۡءَانَ لِلذِّكۡرِ فَهَلۡ مِن مُّدَّكِرٖ
Nous avons rendu le Coran aisé à comprendre. Y a-t-il quelqu’un pour en méditer les enseignements ?
And We have certainly made the Qur'an easy for remembrance, so is there any who will remember
Al-Qamar 54:41
وَلَقَدۡ جَآءَ ءَالَ فِرۡعَوۡنَ ٱلنُّذُرُ
Pharaon et les siens furent eux aussi avertis,
And there certainly came to the people of Pharaoh warning
Al-Qamar 54:42
كَذَّبُواْ بِـَٔايَٰتِنَا كُلِّهَا فَأَخَذۡنَٰهُمۡ أَخۡذَ عَزِيزٖ مُّقۡتَدِرٍ
mais ils renièrent tous Nos miracles. Nous leur avons donc infligé un châtiment dont seul est capable le Seigneur Tout-Puissant et Omnipotent.
They denied Our signs, all of them, so We seized them with a seizure of one Exalted in Might and Perfect in Ability
Al-Qamar 54:43
أَكُفَّارُكُمۡ خَيۡرٞ مِّنۡ أُوْلَـٰٓئِكُمۡ أَمۡ لَكُم بَرَآءَةٞ فِي ٱلزُّبُرِ
Vos mécréants valent-ils mieux que ces gens-là ? Ou bien les Livres révélés vous ont-ils assuré quelque immunité ?
Are your disbelievers better than those [former ones], or have you immunity in the scripture
Al-Qamar 54:44
أَمۡ يَقُولُونَ نَحۡنُ جَمِيعٞ مُّنتَصِرٞ
Ou bien disent-ils : « Notre unité fera notre invincibilité. »
Or do they say, "We are an assembly supporting [each other]
Al-Qamar 54:45
سَيُهۡزَمُ ٱلۡجَمۡعُ وَيُوَلُّونَ ٱلدُّبُرَ
Leur unité sera pourtant brisée et ils seront contraints à tourner le dos.
[Their] assembly will be defeated, and they will turn their backs [in retreat]
Al-Qamar 54:46
بَلِ ٱلسَّاعَةُ مَوۡعِدُهُمۡ وَٱلسَّاعَةُ أَدۡهَىٰ وَأَمَرُّ
Et une épreuve plus terrible et plus amère les attend à l’Heure du jugement.
But the Hour is their appointment [for due punishment], and the Hour is more disastrous and more bitter
Al-Qamar 54:47
إِنَّ ٱلۡمُجۡرِمِينَ فِي ضَلَٰلٖ وَسُعُرٖ
Les mécréants, en plein égarement, sont voués à un brasier ardent.
Indeed, the criminals are in error and madness
Al-Qamar 54:48
يَوۡمَ يُسۡحَبُونَ فِي ٱلنَّارِ عَلَىٰ وُجُوهِهِمۡ ذُوقُواْ مَسَّ سَقَرَ
Le Jour où ils seront traînés sur leurs visages dans le Feu, il leur sera lancé : « Goûtez les tourments de l’Enfer ! »
The Day they are dragged into the Fire on their faces [it will be said], "Taste the touch of Saqar
Al-Qamar 54:49
إِنَّا كُلَّ شَيۡءٍ خَلَقۡنَٰهُ بِقَدَرٖ
Nous avons créé toute chose selon un décret préalable.
Indeed, all things We created with predestination
Al-Qamar 54:50
وَمَآ أَمۡرُنَآ إِلَّا وَٰحِدَةٞ كَلَمۡحِۭ بِٱلۡبَصَرِ
Nos ordres, exécutés en un clin d’œil, se limitent à une seule parole.
And Our command is but one, like a glance of the eye
Al-Qamar 54:51
وَلَقَدۡ أَهۡلَكۡنَآ أَشۡيَاعَكُمۡ فَهَلۡ مِن مُّدَّكِرٖ
Nous avons, avant vous, anéanti des peuples semblables au vôtre. Y a-t-il quelqu’un pour en tirer des leçons ?
And We have already destroyed your kinds, so is there any who will remember
Al-Qamar 54:52
وَكُلُّ شَيۡءٖ فَعَلُوهُ فِي ٱلزُّبُرِ
Chacun de leurs agissements a été consigné dans les registres
And everything they did is in written records
Al-Qamar 54:53
وَكُلُّ صَغِيرٖ وَكَبِيرٖ مُّسۡتَطَرٌ
où il n’est pas un fait, aussi insignifiant soit-il, qui ne soit inscrit.
And every small and great [thing] is inscribed
Al-Qamar 54:54
إِنَّ ٱلۡمُتَّقِينَ فِي جَنَّـٰتٖ وَنَهَرٖ
Les pieux croyants seront, quant à eux, dans des jardins traversés de rivières,
Indeed, the righteous will be among gardens and rivers
Al-Qamar 54:55
فِي مَقۡعَدِ صِدۡقٍ عِندَ مَلِيكٖ مُّقۡتَدِرِۭ
dans un séjour véritablement merveilleux, auprès d’un Roi omnipotent.
In a seat of honor near a Sovereign, Perfect in Ability
