La résurrection mise en doute et prouvée — Il sait ce que l'âme murmure.
Qaf 50:1
قٓۚ وَٱلۡقُرۡءَانِ ٱلۡمَجِيدِ
Qâf. Par le Coran plein de gloire !
Qaf. By the honored Qur'an
Qaf 50:2
بَلۡ عَجِبُوٓاْ أَن جَآءَهُم مُّنذِرٞ مِّنۡهُمۡ فَقَالَ ٱلۡكَٰفِرُونَ هَٰذَا شَيۡءٌ عَجِيبٌ
S’étonnant que l’un d’entre eux vienne les avertir, les mécréants disent : « Voilà une chose bien étrange !
But they wonder that there has come to them a warner from among themselves, and the disbelievers say, "This is an amazing thing
Qaf 50:3
أَءِذَا مِتۡنَا وَكُنَّا تُرَابٗاۖ ذَٰلِكَ رَجۡعُۢ بَعِيدٞ
Serons-nous, une fois morts et réduits en poussière, rendus à la vie ? Voilà qui est impensable ! »
When we have died and have become dust, [we will return to life]? That is a distant return
Qaf 50:4
قَدۡ عَلِمۡنَا مَا تَنقُصُ ٱلۡأَرۡضُ مِنۡهُمۡۖ وَعِندَنَا كِتَٰبٌ حَفِيظُۢ
Nous savons parfaitement ce que la terre consume de leurs corps décomposés. Nous avons en effet un livre où tout est soigneusement consigné.
We know what the earth diminishes of them, and with Us is a retaining record
Qaf 50:5
بَلۡ كَذَّبُواْ بِٱلۡحَقِّ لَمَّا جَآءَهُمۡ فَهُمۡ فِيٓ أَمۡرٖ مَّرِيجٍ
Mais pour avoir renié la vérité qui leur a été apportée, les voilà fort embarrassés.
But they denied the truth when it came to them, so they are in a confused condition
Qaf 50:6
أَفَلَمۡ يَنظُرُوٓاْ إِلَى ٱلسَّمَآءِ فَوۡقَهُمۡ كَيۡفَ بَنَيۡنَٰهَا وَزَيَّنَّـٰهَا وَمَا لَهَا مِن فُرُوجٖ
Ne voient-ils pas le ciel au-dessus d’eux, comme Nous l’avons édifié, paré d’étoiles et créé sans faille ?
Have they not looked at the heaven above them - how We structured it and adorned it and [how] it has no rifts
Qaf 50:7
وَٱلۡأَرۡضَ مَدَدۡنَٰهَا وَأَلۡقَيۡنَا فِيهَا رَوَٰسِيَ وَأَنۢبَتۡنَا فِيهَا مِن كُلِّ زَوۡجِۭ بَهِيجٖ
Quant à la terre, Nous en avons fait une vaste étendue où Nous avons solidement planté des montagnes et où Nous faisons pousser une végétation variée et agréable à regarder.
And the earth - We spread it out and cast therein firmly set mountains and made grow therein [something] of every beautiful kind
Qaf 50:8
تَبۡصِرَةٗ وَذِكۡرَىٰ لِكُلِّ عَبۡدٖ مُّنِيبٖ
Voilà de quoi ouvrir les yeux de tout serviteur en quête de vérité et l’inciter à méditer.
Giving insight and a reminder for every servant who turns [to Allah]
Qaf 50:9
وَنَزَّلۡنَا مِنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ مَآءٗ مُّبَٰرَكٗا فَأَنۢبَتۡنَا بِهِۦ جَنَّـٰتٖ وَحَبَّ ٱلۡحَصِيدِ
Nous faisons descendre du ciel une eau bénie par laquelle Nous faisons pousser des vergers et des céréales qui seront bientôt moissonnées,
And We have sent down blessed rain from the sky and made grow thereby gardens and grain from the harvest
Qaf 50:10
وَٱلنَّخۡلَ بَاسِقَٰتٖ لَّهَا طَلۡعٞ نَّضِيدٞ
de même que des dattiers aux troncs élancés et aux régimes bien ordonnés,
And lofty palm trees having fruit arranged in layers
Qaf 50:11
رِّزۡقٗا لِّلۡعِبَادِۖ وَأَحۡيَيۡنَا بِهِۦ بَلۡدَةٗ مَّيۡتٗاۚ كَذَٰلِكَ ٱلۡخُرُوجُ
pour servir de nourriture aux hommes. Par cette eau, Nous redonnons vie à la terre morte. C’est ainsi que les morts seront ressuscités.
As provision for the servants, and We have given life thereby to a dead land. Thus is the resurrection
Qaf 50:12
كَذَّبَتۡ قَبۡلَهُمۡ قَوۡمُ نُوحٖ وَأَصۡحَٰبُ ٱلرَّسِّ وَثَمُودُ
Déjà, avant eux, le peuple de Noé, les habitants d’Ar-Rass et les Thamoud avaient crié au mensonge,
The people of Noah denied before them, and the companions of the well and Thamud
Qaf 50:13
وَعَادٞ وَفِرۡعَوۡنُ وَإِخۡوَٰنُ لُوطٖ
de même que les ‘Ad, Pharaon et le peuple de Loth,
And 'Aad and Pharaoh and the brothers of Lot
Qaf 50:14
وَأَصۡحَٰبُ ٱلۡأَيۡكَةِ وَقَوۡمُ تُبَّعٖۚ كُلّٞ كَذَّبَ ٱلرُّسُلَ فَحَقَّ وَعِيدِ
les adorateurs d’Al-Aykah et le peuple de Toubba’, qui tous ont traité les Messagers d’imposteurs. Ma menace fut donc mise à exécution.
And the companions of the thicket and the people of Tubba'. All denied the messengers, so My threat was justly fulfilled
Qaf 50:15
أَفَعَيِينَا بِٱلۡخَلۡقِ ٱلۡأَوَّلِۚ بَلۡ هُمۡ فِي لَبۡسٖ مِّنۡ خَلۡقٖ جَدِيدٖ
N’avons-Nous pas été capable de procéder à la première création pour qu’ils doutent de Notre capacité à créer de nouveau ?
Did We fail in the first creation? But they are in confusion over a new creation
Qaf 50:16
وَلَقَدۡ خَلَقۡنَا ٱلۡإِنسَٰنَ وَنَعۡلَمُ مَا تُوَسۡوِسُ بِهِۦ نَفۡسُهُۥۖ وَنَحۡنُ أَقۡرَبُ إِلَيۡهِ مِنۡ حَبۡلِ ٱلۡوَرِيدِ
Ayant créé l’homme, Nous connaissons parfaitement les secrets de son âme. Nous sommes plus proche de lui que sa veine jugulaire,
And We have already created man and know what his soul whispers to him, and We are closer to him than [his] jugular vein
Qaf 50:17
إِذۡ يَتَلَقَّى ٱلۡمُتَلَقِّيَانِ عَنِ ٱلۡيَمِينِ وَعَنِ ٱلشِّمَالِ قَعِيدٞ
au moment où les deux anges, l’un posté sur sa droite, l’autre sur sa gauche, recueillent ses moindres faits et gestes.
When the two receivers receive, seated on the right and on the left
Qaf 50:18
مَّا يَلۡفِظُ مِن قَوۡلٍ إِلَّا لَدَيۡهِ رَقِيبٌ عَتِيدٞ
Il ne prononce, en effet, aucun mot sans avoir à ses côtés un ange prêt à le consigner.
Man does not utter any word except that with him is an observer prepared [to record]
Qaf 50:19
وَجَآءَتۡ سَكۡرَةُ ٱلۡمَوۡتِ بِٱلۡحَقِّۖ ذَٰلِكَ مَا كُنتَ مِنۡهُ تَحِيدُ
Viennent alors les affres de la mort dévoilant toute la vérité : « Voilà ce à quoi tu voulais échapper ! »
And the intoxication of death will bring the truth; that is what you were trying to avoid
Qaf 50:20
وَنُفِخَ فِي ٱلصُّورِۚ ذَٰلِكَ يَوۡمُ ٱلۡوَعِيدِ
Il sera soufflé dans la Corne : « Voici le Jour dont vous étiez menacés ! »
And the Horn will be blown. That is the Day of [carrying out] the threat
Qaf 50:21
وَجَآءَتۡ كُلُّ نَفۡسٖ مَّعَهَا سَآئِقٞ وَشَهِيدٞ
Chaque âme viendra alors accompagnée d’un ange chargé de la conduire sur les lieux du Rassemblement et d’un autre chargé de témoigner de ses œuvres.
And every soul will come, with it a driver and a witness
Qaf 50:22
لَّقَدۡ كُنتَ فِي غَفۡلَةٖ مِّنۡ هَٰذَا فَكَشَفۡنَا عَنكَ غِطَآءَكَ فَبَصَرُكَ ٱلۡيَوۡمَ حَدِيدٞ
« Tu vivais dans l’insouciance de ce Jour, mais Nous t’avons aujourd’hui ouvert les yeux, tu vois donc à présent parfaitement clair. »
[It will be said], "You were certainly in unmindfulness of this, and We have removed from you your cover, so your sight, this Day, is sharp
Qaf 50:23
وَقَالَ قَرِينُهُۥ هَٰذَا مَا لَدَيَّ عَتِيدٌ
Son compagnon dira : « Voici ses œuvres que j’ai soigneusement consignées. »
And his companion, [the angel], will say, "This [record] is what is with me, prepared
Qaf 50:24
أَلۡقِيَا فِي جَهَنَّمَ كُلَّ كَفَّارٍ عَنِيدٖ
Allah dira : « Jetez dans la Géhenne tout mécréant rebelle à la vérité,
[Allah will say], "Throw into Hell every obstinate disbeliever
Qaf 50:25
مَّنَّاعٖ لِّلۡخَيۡرِ مُعۡتَدٖ مُّرِيبٍ
si peu enclin à faire le bien, si prompt à transgresser et à douter,
Preventer of good, aggressor, and doubter
Qaf 50:26
ٱلَّذِي جَعَلَ مَعَ ٱللَّهِ إِلَٰهًا ءَاخَرَ فَأَلۡقِيَاهُ فِي ٱلۡعَذَابِ ٱلشَّدِيدِ
qui vénérait avec Allah d’autres divinités. Qu’il soit, dans le terrible châtiment, précipité. »
Who made [as equal] with Allah another deity; then throw him into the severe punishment
Qaf 50:27
۞قَالَ قَرِينُهُۥ رَبَّنَا مَآ أَطۡغَيۡتُهُۥ وَلَٰكِن كَانَ فِي ضَلَٰلِۭ بَعِيدٖ
Son compagnon dira : « Seigneur ! Je ne l’ai pas fourvoyé, mais il était lui-même profondément égaré ! »
His [devil] companion will say, "Our Lord, I did not make him transgress, but he [himself] was in extreme error
Qaf 50:28
قَالَ لَا تَخۡتَصِمُواْ لَدَيَّ وَقَدۡ قَدَّمۡتُ إِلَيۡكُم بِٱلۡوَعِيدِ
Allah leur dira : « Inutile de vous disputer devant Moi, car vous avez suffisamment été avertis par Mes Messagers.
[Allah] will say, "Do not dispute before Me, while I had already presented to you the warning
Qaf 50:29
مَا يُبَدَّلُ ٱلۡقَوۡلُ لَدَيَّ وَمَآ أَنَا۠ بِظَلَّـٰمٖ لِّلۡعَبِيدِ
Mes arrêts ne sauraient être modifiés et Mes serviteurs être injustement châtiés. »
The word will not be changed with Me, and never will I be unjust to the servants
Qaf 50:30
يَوۡمَ نَقُولُ لِجَهَنَّمَ هَلِ ٱمۡتَلَأۡتِ وَتَقُولُ هَلۡ مِن مَّزِيدٖ
Ce Jour-là, Nous dirons à la Géhenne : « As-tu fait le plein de damnés ? » Et elle répondra : « Peut-on en rajouter ? »
On the Day We will say to Hell, "Have you been filled?" and it will say, "Are there some more
Qaf 50:31
وَأُزۡلِفَتِ ٱلۡجَنَّةُ لِلۡمُتَّقِينَ غَيۡرَ بَعِيدٍ
Le Paradis, quant à lui, sera placé à proximité des pieux croyants
And Paradise will be brought near to the righteous, not far
Qaf 50:32
هَٰذَا مَا تُوعَدُونَ لِكُلِّ أَوَّابٍ حَفِيظٖ
auxquels il sera dit : « Voici ce qui a été promis à tous ceux qui étaient pleins de repentir et de respect pour Nos commandements,
[It will be said], "This is what you were promised - for every returner [to Allah] and keeper [of His covenant]
Qaf 50:33
مَّنۡ خَشِيَ ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنَ بِٱلۡغَيۡبِ وَجَآءَ بِقَلۡبٖ مُّنِيبٍ
ceux qui, loin des regards, craignaient le Tout Miséricordieux et qui sont venus à Lui le cœur repentant.
Who feared the Most Merciful unseen and came with a heart returning [in repentance]
Qaf 50:34
ٱدۡخُلُوهَا بِسَلَٰمٖۖ ذَٰلِكَ يَوۡمُ ٱلۡخُلُودِ
Entrez-y en paix ! Voici un jour qui se prolongera éternellement ! »
Enter it in peace. This is the Day of Eternity
Qaf 50:35
لَهُم مَّا يَشَآءُونَ فِيهَا وَلَدَيۡنَا مَزِيدٞ
Ils y obtiendront tout ce qu’ils désireront et trouveront davantage encore auprès de Nous.
They will have whatever they wish therein, and with Us is more
Qaf 50:36
وَكَمۡ أَهۡلَكۡنَا قَبۡلَهُم مِّن قَرۡنٍ هُمۡ أَشَدُّ مِنۡهُم بَطۡشٗا فَنَقَّبُواْ فِي ٱلۡبِلَٰدِ هَلۡ مِن مَّحِيصٍ
Que de peuples avons-Nous anéantis avant eux. Bien plus puissants qu’eux, ceux-ci avaient sillonné le monde et exploité la terre bien plus qu’ils n’ont pu le faire. Ont-ils pu échapper à Nos rigueurs ?
And how many a generation before them did We destroy who were greater than them in [striking] power and had explored throughout the lands. Is there any place of escape
Qaf 50:37
إِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكَ لَذِكۡرَىٰ لِمَن كَانَ لَهُۥ قَلۡبٌ أَوۡ أَلۡقَى ٱلسَّمۡعَ وَهُوَ شَهِيدٞ
Voilà assurément une leçon pour quiconque est doué de raison et prête une oreille attentive.
Indeed in that is a reminder for whoever has a heart or who listens while he is present [in mind]
Qaf 50:38
وَلَقَدۡ خَلَقۡنَا ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضَ وَمَا بَيۡنَهُمَا فِي سِتَّةِ أَيَّامٖ وَمَا مَسَّنَا مِن لُّغُوبٖ
Nous avons, en vérité, créé les cieux, la terre et ce qui se trouve entre eux, en six jours sans éprouver la moindre peine.
And We did certainly create the heavens and earth and what is between them in six days, and there touched Us no weariness
Qaf 50:39
فَٱصۡبِرۡ عَلَىٰ مَا يَقُولُونَ وَسَبِّحۡ بِحَمۡدِ رَبِّكَ قَبۡلَ طُلُوعِ ٱلشَّمۡسِ وَقَبۡلَ ٱلۡغُرُوبِ
Supporte donc patiemment leurs paroles et célèbre, par les louanges, la gloire de ton Seigneur avant le lever du soleil et avant son coucher.
So be patient, [O Muhammad], over what they say and exalt [Allah] with praise of your Lord before the rising of the sun and before its setting
Qaf 50:40
وَمِنَ ٱلَّيۡلِ فَسَبِّحۡهُ وَأَدۡبَٰرَ ٱلسُّجُودِ
Exalte également Sa gloire une partie de la nuit et après chaque prière.
And [in part] of the night exalt Him and after prostration
Qaf 50:41
وَٱسۡتَمِعۡ يَوۡمَ يُنَادِ ٱلۡمُنَادِ مِن مَّكَانٖ قَرِيبٖ
Ecoute attentivement l’appel que lancera l’ange d’un lieu tout proche,
And listen on the Day when the Caller will call out from a place that is near
Qaf 50:42
يَوۡمَ يَسۡمَعُونَ ٱلصَّيۡحَةَ بِٱلۡحَقِّۚ ذَٰلِكَ يَوۡمُ ٱلۡخُرُوجِ
le Jour où les hommes, entendant le Cri terrifiant de l’Heure, quitteront leurs tombes.
The Day they will hear the blast [of the Horn] in truth. That is the Day of Emergence [from the graves]
Qaf 50:43
إِنَّا نَحۡنُ نُحۡيِۦ وَنُمِيتُ وَإِلَيۡنَا ٱلۡمَصِيرُ
C’est Nous qui donnons la vie et la mort, et c’est à Nous que les hommes feront retour.
Indeed, it is We who give life and cause death, and to Us is the destination
Qaf 50:44
يَوۡمَ تَشَقَّقُ ٱلۡأَرۡضُ عَنۡهُمۡ سِرَاعٗاۚ ذَٰلِكَ حَشۡرٌ عَلَيۡنَا يَسِيرٞ
Ce Jour-là, la terre se fendra, les laissant quitter précipitamment leurs tombes. Il Nous sera alors aisé de les rassembler.
On the Day the earth breaks away from them [and they emerge] rapidly; that is a gathering easy for Us
Qaf 50:45
نَّحۡنُ أَعۡلَمُ بِمَا يَقُولُونَۖ وَمَآ أَنتَ عَلَيۡهِم بِجَبَّارٖۖ فَذَكِّرۡ بِٱلۡقُرۡءَانِ مَن يَخَافُ وَعِيدِ
Nous connaissons parfaitement leurs allégations. Tu n’as pas, quant à toi, à les contraindre à embrasser la foi. Exhorte simplement par le Coran quiconque redoute l’exécution de Ma menace.
We are most knowing of what they say, and you are not over them a tyrant. But remind by the Qur'an whoever fears My threat
