Sourate Al-Jinn (72) — Les Djinns · الجن

Les djinns qui ont écouté le Coran et ont embrassé la foi.
Al-Jinn 72:1
قُلۡ أُوحِيَ إِلَيَّ أَنَّهُ ٱسۡتَمَعَ نَفَرٞ مِّنَ ٱلۡجِنِّ فَقَالُوٓاْ إِنَّا سَمِعۡنَا قُرۡءَانًا عَجَبٗا
Dis : « Il m’a été révélé qu’un groupe de djinns, après m’avoir écouté réciter le Coran, ont affirmé : “Nous avons entendu une lecture étonnante
Say, [O Muhammad], "It has been revealed to me that a group of the jinn listened and said, 'Indeed, we have heard an amazing Qur'an
Al-Jinn 72:2
يَهۡدِيٓ إِلَى ٱلرُّشۡدِ فَـَٔامَنَّا بِهِۦۖ وَلَن نُّشۡرِكَ بِرَبِّنَآ أَحَدٗا
propre à assurer notre salut et à laquelle nous avons cru. Nous n’associerons donc nulle divinité au culte de notre Seigneur !
It guides to the right course, and we have believed in it. And we will never associate with our Lord anyone
Al-Jinn 72:3
وَأَنَّهُۥ تَعَٰلَىٰ جَدُّ رَبِّنَا مَا ٱتَّخَذَ صَٰحِبَةٗ وَلَا وَلَدٗا
Notre Seigneur, exalté soit-Il, ne s’est donné ni compagne, ni enfant.
And [it teaches] that exalted is the nobleness of our Lord; He has not taken a wife or a son
Al-Jinn 72:4
وَأَنَّهُۥ كَانَ يَقُولُ سَفِيهُنَا عَلَى ٱللَّهِ شَطَطٗا
Des insensés parmi nous proféraient simplement sur Allah d’infâmes mensonges.
And that our foolish one has been saying about Allah an excessive transgression
Al-Jinn 72:5
وَأَنَّا ظَنَنَّآ أَن لَّن تَقُولَ ٱلۡإِنسُ وَٱلۡجِنُّ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ كَذِبٗا
Nous pensions pourtant que ni les hommes ni les djinns ne pouvaient mentir sur Allah.
And we had thought that mankind and the jinn would never speak about Allah a lie
Al-Jinn 72:6
وَأَنَّهُۥ كَانَ رِجَالٞ مِّنَ ٱلۡإِنسِ يَعُوذُونَ بِرِجَالٖ مِّنَ ٱلۡجِنِّ فَزَادُوهُمۡ رَهَقٗا
Certains hommes imploraient la protection de certains djinns, ce qui ne fit qu’ajouter à leur rébellion.
And there were men from mankind who sought refuge in men from the jinn, so they [only] increased them in burden
Al-Jinn 72:7
وَأَنَّهُمۡ ظَنُّواْ كَمَا ظَنَنتُمۡ أَن لَّن يَبۡعَثَ ٱللَّهُ أَحَدٗا
Comme vous, ils pensaient qu’Allah ne susciterait plus jamais de Messager.
And they had thought, as you thought, that Allah would never send anyone [as a messenger]
Al-Jinn 72:8
وَأَنَّا لَمَسۡنَا ٱلسَّمَآءَ فَوَجَدۡنَٰهَا مُلِئَتۡ حَرَسٗا شَدِيدٗا وَشُهُبٗا
Mais, ayant tenté de nous approcher du ciel, nous l’avons trouvé puissamment protégé par des gardiens et des météores.
And we have sought [to reach] the heaven but found it filled with powerful guards and burning flames
Al-Jinn 72:9
وَأَنَّا كُنَّا نَقۡعُدُ مِنۡهَا مَقَٰعِدَ لِلسَّمۡعِۖ فَمَن يَسۡتَمِعِ ٱلۡأٓنَ يَجِدۡ لَهُۥ شِهَابٗا رَّصَدٗا
Nous pouvions auparavant y prendre place pour écouter les secrets célestes. Mais quiconque tente aujourd’hui de surprendre l’un de ces secrets doit affronter un météore prêt à le foudroyer.
And we used to sit therein in positions for hearing, but whoever listens now will find a burning flame lying in wait for him
Al-Jinn 72:10
وَأَنَّا لَا نَدۡرِيٓ أَشَرٌّ أُرِيدَ بِمَن فِي ٱلۡأَرۡضِ أَمۡ أَرَادَ بِهِمۡ رَبُّهُمۡ رَشَدٗا
Nous ne savons pas si l’on veut du mal aux habitants de la terre ou si leur Seigneur leur veut simplement du bien.
And we do not know [therefore] whether evil is intended for those on earth or whether their Lord intends for them a right course
Al-Jinn 72:11
وَأَنَّا مِنَّا ٱلصَّـٰلِحُونَ وَمِنَّا دُونَ ذَٰلِكَۖ كُنَّا طَرَآئِقَ قِدَدٗا
Certains, parmi nous, sont vertueux tandis que d’autres le sont moins. Nous suivons en effet des voies divergentes.
And among us are the righteous, and among us are [others] not so; we were [of] divided ways
Al-Jinn 72:12
وَأَنَّا ظَنَنَّآ أَن لَّن نُّعۡجِزَ ٱللَّهَ فِي ٱلۡأَرۡضِ وَلَن نُّعۡجِزَهُۥ هَرَبٗا
Nous savons à présent que nous ne pouvons nous opposer à la volonté d’Allah sur terre, ni Lui échapper.
And we have become certain that we will never cause failure to Allah upon earth, nor can we escape Him by flight
Al-Jinn 72:13
وَأَنَّا لَمَّا سَمِعۡنَا ٱلۡهُدَىٰٓ ءَامَنَّا بِهِۦۖ فَمَن يُؤۡمِنۢ بِرَبِّهِۦ فَلَا يَخَافُ بَخۡسٗا وَلَا رَهَقٗا
Lorsque nous avons entendu le message de vérité, nous y avons cru. Or, quiconque croit en son Seigneur ne doit redouter ni d’être frustré, ni d’être lésé.
And when we heard the guidance, we believed in it. And whoever believes in his Lord will not fear deprivation or burden
Al-Jinn 72:14
وَأَنَّا مِنَّا ٱلۡمُسۡلِمُونَ وَمِنَّا ٱلۡقَٰسِطُونَۖ فَمَنۡ أَسۡلَمَ فَأُوْلَـٰٓئِكَ تَحَرَّوۡاْ رَشَدٗا
Certains, parmi nous, se sont soumis, tandis que d’autres se sont détournés du droit chemin. Ceux qui se sont soumis sont ceux qui étaient en quête de vérité.
And among us are Muslims [in submission to Allah], and among us are the unjust. And whoever has become Muslim - those have sought out the right course
Al-Jinn 72:15
وَأَمَّا ٱلۡقَٰسِطُونَ فَكَانُواْ لِجَهَنَّمَ حَطَبٗا
Quant à ceux qui se sont détournés, ils alimenteront le feu de la Géhenne”. »
But as for the unjust, they will be, for Hell, firewood
Al-Jinn 72:16
وَأَلَّوِ ٱسۡتَقَٰمُواْ عَلَى ٱلطَّرِيقَةِ لَأَسۡقَيۡنَٰهُم مَّآءً غَدَقٗا
Or, si les impies suivaient le droit chemin, Nous ne manquerions pas de les combler de Nos faveurs
And [Allah revealed] that if they had remained straight on the way, We would have given them abundant provision
Al-Jinn 72:17
لِّنَفۡتِنَهُمۡ فِيهِۚ وَمَن يُعۡرِضۡ عَن ذِكۡرِ رَبِّهِۦ يَسۡلُكۡهُ عَذَابٗا صَعَدٗا
afin de les mettre à l’épreuve. Mais quiconque se détourne du message de son Seigneur sera plongé dans d’insupportables tourments.
So We might test them therein. And whoever turns away from the remembrance of his Lord He will put into arduous punishment
Al-Jinn 72:18
وَأَنَّ ٱلۡمَسَٰجِدَ لِلَّهِ فَلَا تَدۡعُواْ مَعَ ٱللَّهِ أَحَدٗا
Les mosquées étant exclusivement consacrées au culte d’Allah, n’y vénérez nul autre que Lui.
And [He revealed] that the masjids are for Allah, so do not invoke with Allah anyone
Al-Jinn 72:19
وَأَنَّهُۥ لَمَّا قَامَ عَبۡدُ ٱللَّهِ يَدۡعُوهُ كَادُواْ يَكُونُونَ عَلَيۡهِ لِبَدٗا
Lorsque le serviteur d’Allah s’est levé pour L’invoquer, ils ont failli se jeter sur lui.
And that when the Servant of Allah stood up supplicating Him, they almost became about him a compacted mass
Al-Jinn 72:20
قُلۡ إِنَّمَآ أَدۡعُواْ رَبِّي وَلَآ أُشۡرِكُ بِهِۦٓ أَحَدٗا
Dis : « Je voue un culte exclusif à mon Seigneur, sans associer d’autres que Lui à Son adoration. »
Say, [O Muhammad], "I only invoke my Lord and do not associate with Him anyone
Al-Jinn 72:21
قُلۡ إِنِّي لَآ أَمۡلِكُ لَكُمۡ ضَرّٗا وَلَا رَشَدٗا
Dis-leur : « Je ne peux ni vous préserver d’un mal, ni vous procurer un bien. »
Say, "Indeed, I do not possess for you [the power of] harm or right direction
Al-Jinn 72:22
قُلۡ إِنِّي لَن يُجِيرَنِي مِنَ ٱللَّهِ أَحَدٞ وَلَنۡ أَجِدَ مِن دُونِهِۦ مُلۡتَحَدًا
Dis : « Nul ne saurait me protéger du châtiment d’Allah et je ne pourrais moi-même trouver de refuge contre Ses rigueurs.
Say, "Indeed, there will never protect me from Allah anyone [if I should disobey], nor will I find in other than Him a refuge
Al-Jinn 72:23
إِلَّا بَلَٰغٗا مِّنَ ٱللَّهِ وَرِسَٰلَٰتِهِۦۚ وَمَن يَعۡصِ ٱللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُۥ فَإِنَّ لَهُۥ نَارَ جَهَنَّمَ خَٰلِدِينَ فِيهَآ أَبَدًا
Je peux seulement vous transmettre le message qu’Allah m’a confié. Quiconque désobéira ensuite à Allah et Son Messager sera voué au feu de la Géhenne où il demeurera à jamais. »
But [I have for you] only notification from Allah, and His messages." And whoever disobeys Allah and His Messenger - then indeed, for him is the fire of Hell; they will abide therein forever
Al-Jinn 72:24
حَتَّىٰٓ إِذَا رَأَوۡاْ مَا يُوعَدُونَ فَسَيَعۡلَمُونَ مَنۡ أَضۡعَفُ نَاصِرٗا وَأَقَلُّ عَدَدٗا
Voyant le châtiment dont ils étaient menacés, les païens sauront alors qui dispose des soutiens les plus fragiles et des partisans les moins nombreux.
[The disbelievers continue] until, when they see that which they are promised, then they will know who is weaker in helpers and less in number
Al-Jinn 72:25
قُلۡ إِنۡ أَدۡرِيٓ أَقَرِيبٞ مَّا تُوعَدُونَ أَمۡ يَجۡعَلُ لَهُۥ رَبِّيٓ أَمَدًا
Dis-leur : « Je ne sais si le châtiment dont vous êtes menacés est imminent ou si mon Seigneur lui a assigné un terme plus éloigné. »
Say, "I do not know if what you are promised is near or if my Lord will grant for it a [long] period
Al-Jinn 72:26
عَٰلِمُ ٱلۡغَيۡبِ فَلَا يُظۡهِرُ عَلَىٰ غَيۡبِهِۦٓ أَحَدًا
Lui seul connaît les mystères de l’univers qu’Il ne révèle à personne,
[He is] Knower of the unseen, and He does not disclose His [knowledge of the] unseen to anyone
Al-Jinn 72:27
إِلَّا مَنِ ٱرۡتَضَىٰ مِن رَّسُولٖ فَإِنَّهُۥ يَسۡلُكُ مِنۢ بَيۡنِ يَدَيۡهِ وَمِنۡ خَلۡفِهِۦ رَصَدٗا
hormis à ceux qu’Il choisit comme Messagers, qu’Il place sous la protection vigilante d’anges gardiens postés devant et derrière eux.
Except whom He has approved of messengers, and indeed, He sends before each messenger and behind him observers
Al-Jinn 72:28
لِّيَعۡلَمَ أَن قَدۡ أَبۡلَغُواْ رِسَٰلَٰتِ رَبِّهِمۡ وَأَحَاطَ بِمَا لَدَيۡهِمۡ وَأَحۡصَىٰ كُلَّ شَيۡءٍ عَدَدَۢا
Il sait ainsi que les prophètes ont bien transmis le message de leur Seigneur. Rien d’ailleurs de ce qui les concerne ne Lui échappe, Lui qui connaît dans le plus petit détail Sa Création.
That he may know that they have conveyed the messages of their Lord; and He has encompassed whatever is with them and has enumerated all things in number
