Soera Al-Qiyamah (75) — De Opstanding · القيامة
Mekkaanse soera, 40 verzen, als 31e geopenbaard.
De opstanding: de zichzelf verwijtende ziel en de gezichten op die Dag.
Al-Qiyamah 75:1
لَآ أُقۡسِمُ بِيَوۡمِ ٱلۡقِيَٰمَةِ
Ik zweer bij de dag der opstanding
I swear by the Day of Resurrection
Al-Qiyamah 75:2
وَلَآ أُقۡسِمُ بِٱلنَّفۡسِ ٱللَّوَّامَةِ
En Ik zweer bij de ziel die zichzelf verwijt.
And I swear by the reproaching soul [to the certainty of resurrection]
Al-Qiyamah 75:3
أَيَحۡسَبُ ٱلۡإِنسَٰنُ أَلَّن نَّجۡمَعَ عِظَامَهُۥ
Denkt de mens dat Wij zijn beenderen niet zullen verzamelen?
Does man think that We will not assemble his bones
Al-Qiyamah 75:4
بَلَىٰ قَٰدِرِينَ عَلَىٰٓ أَن نُّسَوِّيَ بَنَانَهُۥ
Welzeker, Wij zijn in staat om de toppen van zijn vingers weer volmaakt in elkaar te zetten.
Yes. [We are] Able [even] to proportion his fingertips
Al-Qiyamah 75:5
بَلۡ يُرِيدُ ٱلۡإِنسَٰنُ لِيَفۡجُرَ أَمَامَهُۥ
Welnee! De mens ontkent de herrijzenis en de vergelding. Hij wil dus doorgaan met zondigen.
But man desires to continue in sin
Al-Qiyamah 75:6
يَسۡـَٔلُ أَيَّانَ يَوۡمُ ٱلۡقِيَٰمَةِ
Hij vraagt: “Wanneer zal deze dag der opstanding zijn?”
He asks, "When is the Day of Resurrection
Al-Qiyamah 75:7
فَإِذَا بَرِقَ ٱلۡبَصَرُ
Wanneer het zicht dusdanig vertroebeld zal zijn.
So when vision is dazzled
Al-Qiyamah 75:8
وَخَسَفَ ٱلۡقَمَرُ
En de maan verduisterd zal zijn.
And the moon darkens
Al-Qiyamah 75:9
وَجُمِعَ ٱلشَّمۡسُ وَٱلۡقَمَرُ
En de zon en de maan samen zullen komen.
And the sun and the moon are joined
Al-Qiyamah 75:10
يَقُولُ ٱلۡإِنسَٰنُ يَوۡمَئِذٍ أَيۡنَ ٱلۡمَفَرُّ
Op die dag zal de mens zeggen: “Waar (is de schuilplaats) om naar toe te vluchten?”
Man will say on that Day, "Where is the [place of] escape
Al-Qiyamah 75:11
كَلَّا لَا وَزَرَ
Nee! Er is geen schuilplaats!
No! There is no refuge
Al-Qiyamah 75:12
إِلَىٰ رَبِّكَ يَوۡمَئِذٍ ٱلۡمُسۡتَقَرُّ
(Slechts) bij jullie Heer zal er die dag de verblijfplaats zijn.
To your Lord, that Day, is the [place of] permanence
Al-Qiyamah 75:13
يُنَبَّؤُاْ ٱلۡإِنسَٰنُ يَوۡمَئِذِۭ بِمَا قَدَّمَ وَأَخَّرَ
Op die dag zal de mens verteld worden wat hij vooruit heeft gestuurd en wat hij achter heeft gelaten.
Man will be informed that Day of what he sent ahead and kept back
Al-Qiyamah 75:14
بَلِ ٱلۡإِنسَٰنُ عَلَىٰ نَفۡسِهِۦ بَصِيرَةٞ
De mens zal zelfs tégen zichzelf getuigen, (waarbij zijn ledematen als getuigen zullen optreden).
Rather, man, against himself, will be a witness
Al-Qiyamah 75:15
وَلَوۡ أَلۡقَىٰ مَعَاذِيرَهُۥ
Hoewel hij verontschuldigingen naar voren zal brengen.
Even if he presents his excuses
Al-Qiyamah 75:16
لَا تُحَرِّكۡ بِهِۦ لِسَانَكَ لِتَعۡجَلَ بِهِۦٓ
Beweeg je tong niet wat (de Koran) betreft om het daarmee te bespoedigen.
Move not your tongue with it, [O Muhammad], to hasten with recitation of the Qur'an
Al-Qiyamah 75:17
إِنَّ عَلَيۡنَا جَمۡعَهُۥ وَقُرۡءَانَهُۥ
Het is aan Ons om het te verzamelen (het vastleggen in jouw borst) en jou de mogelijkheid tot het reciteren van hem te geven.
Indeed, upon Us is its collection [in your heart] and [to make possible] its recitation
Al-Qiyamah 75:18
فَإِذَا قَرَأۡنَٰهُ فَٱتَّبِعۡ قُرۡءَانَهُۥ
En als Wij hem aan jou hebben voorgedragen (o Mohammed) volg dan de opdracht ervan.
So when We have recited it [through Gabriel], then follow its recitation
Al-Qiyamah 75:19
ثُمَّ إِنَّ عَلَيۡنَا بَيَانَهُۥ
Vervolgens is waarlijk aan ons de verduidelijking daarvan.
Then upon Us is its clarification [to you]
Al-Qiyamah 75:20
كَلَّا بَلۡ تُحِبُّونَ ٱلۡعَاجِلَةَ
Nee, maar (jullie mensen) houden van het huidige leven op deze wereld.
No! But you love the immediate
Al-Qiyamah 75:21
وَتَذَرُونَ ٱلۡأٓخِرَةَ
En laten het hiernamaals liggen.
And leave the Hereafter
Al-Qiyamah 75:22
وُجُوهٞ يَوۡمَئِذٖ نَّاضِرَةٌ
Sommige gezichten zullen op die dag schijnend en stralend zijn.
[Some] faces, that Day, will be radiant
Al-Qiyamah 75:23
إِلَىٰ رَبِّهَا نَاظِرَةٞ
Naar hun Heer kijkend.
Looking at their Lord
Al-Qiyamah 75:24
وَوُجُوهٞ يَوۡمَئِذِۭ بَاسِرَةٞ
En sommige gezichten zullen die dag donker, duister, fronsend en bedroefd zijn.
And [some] faces, that Day, will be contorted
Al-Qiyamah 75:25
تَظُنُّ أَن يُفۡعَلَ بِهَا فَاقِرَةٞ
Denkend dat hen onheil zullen overkomen.
Expecting that there will be done to them [something] backbreaking
Al-Qiyamah 75:26
كَلَّآ إِذَا بَلَغَتِ ٱلتَّرَاقِيَ
Nee, wanneer de ziel het sleutelbeen bereikt (dichtbij de keel).
No! When the soul has reached the collar bones
Al-Qiyamah 75:27
وَقِيلَ مَنۡۜ رَاقٖ
En er gezegd zal worden: “Wie kan hem genezen en van de dood redden?”
And it is said, "Who will cure [him]
Al-Qiyamah 75:28
وَظَنَّ أَنَّهُ ٱلۡفِرَاقُ
En hij tot de conclusie zal komen dat het (de tijd) is om te vertrekken.
And the dying one is certain that it is the [time of] separation
Al-Qiyamah 75:29
وَٱلۡتَفَّتِ ٱلسَّاقُ بِٱلسَّاقِ
En een been zal met een ander been verenigd worden.
And the leg is wound about the leg
Al-Qiyamah 75:30
إِلَىٰ رَبِّكَ يَوۡمَئِذٍ ٱلۡمَسَاقُ
De uitdrijving zal op die dag naar jouw Heer zijn.
To your Lord, that Day, will be the procession
Al-Qiyamah 75:31
فَلَا صَدَّقَ وَلَا صَلَّىٰ
Omdat hij noch geloofde noch bad!
And the disbeliever had not believed, nor had he prayed
Al-Qiyamah 75:32
وَلَٰكِن كَذَّبَ وَتَوَلَّىٰ
Integendeel, hij verloochende en keerde zich af!
But [instead], he denied and turned away
Al-Qiyamah 75:33
ثُمَّ ذَهَبَ إِلَىٰٓ أَهۡلِهِۦ يَتَمَطَّىٰٓ
Toen liep hij trots naar zijn familie, zichzelf bewonderend!
And then he went to his people, swaggering [in pride]
Al-Qiyamah 75:34
أَوۡلَىٰ لَكَ فَأَوۡلَىٰ
Wee voor jou (degene die zich afwend)! En dan wee voor jou!
Woe to you, and woe
Al-Qiyamah 75:35
ثُمَّ أَوۡلَىٰ لَكَ فَأَوۡلَىٰٓ
Opnieuw, wee voor jou! En dan wee voor jou!
Then woe to you, and woe
Al-Qiyamah 75:36
أَيَحۡسَبُ ٱلۡإِنسَٰنُ أَن يُتۡرَكَ سُدًى
Denkt de mens dat hij met rust zal worden gelaten (door zich niets aan te trekken van Allah Zijn wetten)?
Does man think that he will be left neglected
Al-Qiyamah 75:37
أَلَمۡ يَكُ نُطۡفَةٗ مِّن مَّنِيّٖ يُمۡنَىٰ
Was hij geen gemengd druppel die uit werd gegoten?
Had he not been a sperm from semen emitted
Al-Qiyamah 75:38
ثُمَّ كَانَ عَلَقَةٗ فَخَلَقَ فَسَوَّىٰ
Toen werd hij een klonter daarna vormde en fatsoeneerde (Allah hem) in de juiste proporties.
Then he was a clinging clot, and [Allah] created [his form] and proportioned [him]
Al-Qiyamah 75:39
فَجَعَلَ مِنۡهُ ٱلزَّوۡجَيۡنِ ٱلذَّكَرَ وَٱلۡأُنثَىٰٓ
En maakte hem in twee paren,mannelijk en vrouwelijk.
And made of him two mates, the male and the female
Al-Qiyamah 75:40
أَلَيۡسَ ذَٰلِكَ بِقَٰدِرٍ عَلَىٰٓ أَن يُحۡـِۧيَ ٱلۡمَوۡتَىٰ
Is Hij niet (Allah Die dat doet), ook in staat om het leven te geven aan de dood?
Is not that [Creator] Able to give life to the dead
