Le soleil : la réussite de l'âme purifiée — et Thamud, ruiné à cause de la chamelle.
Tafsir de la sourate Ash-Shams
Ash-Shams 91:1
وَٱلشَّمۡسِ وَضُحَىٰهَا
Par le soleil et la lumière qu’il répand à son lever !
By the sun and its brightness
Ash-Shams 91:2
وَٱلۡقَمَرِ إِذَا تَلَىٰهَا
Par la lune qui lui succède à son coucher !
And [by] the moon when it follows it
Ash-Shams 91:3
وَٱلنَّهَارِ إِذَا جَلَّىٰهَا
Par le jour qui en manifeste toute la clarté !
And [by] the day when it displays it
Ash-Shams 91:4
وَٱلَّيۡلِ إِذَا يَغۡشَىٰهَا
Par la nuit qui l’enveloppe de son obscurité !
And [by] the night when it covers it
Ash-Shams 91:5
وَٱلسَّمَآءِ وَمَا بَنَىٰهَا
Par le ciel et Celui qui l’a édifié !
And [by] the sky and He who constructed it
Ash-Shams 91:6
وَٱلۡأَرۡضِ وَمَا طَحَىٰهَا
Par la terre et Celui qui l’a nivelée !
And [by] the earth and He who spread it
Ash-Shams 91:7
وَنَفۡسٖ وَمَا سَوَّىٰهَا
Par l’âme et Celui qui l’a idéalement formée,
And [by] the soul and He who proportioned it
Ash-Shams 91:8
فَأَلۡهَمَهَا فُجُورَهَا وَتَقۡوَىٰهَا
lui inspirant sa perversion ou sa piété !
And inspired it [with discernment of] its wickedness and its righteousness
Ash-Shams 91:9
قَدۡ أَفۡلَحَ مَن زَكَّىٰهَا
Heureux celui qui l’aura purifiée,
He has succeeded who purifies it
Ash-Shams 91:10
وَقَدۡ خَابَ مَن دَسَّىٰهَا
malheureux celui qui l’aura souillée.
And he has failed who instills it [with corruption]
Ash-Shams 91:11
كَذَّبَتۡ ثَمُودُ بِطَغۡوَىٰهَآ
Les Thamoud ont crié au mensonge par impiété,
Thamud denied [their prophet] by reason of their transgression
Ash-Shams 91:12
إِذِ ٱنۢبَعَثَ أَشۡقَىٰهَا
lorsque le plus misérable d’entre eux s’est levé.
When the most wretched of them was sent forth
Ash-Shams 91:13
فَقَالَ لَهُمۡ رَسُولُ ٱللَّهِ نَاقَةَ ٱللَّهِ وَسُقۡيَٰهَا
Le Messager d’Allah les avait pourtant avertis : « Gardez-vous de nuire à la chamelle d’Allah. Laissez-la s’abreuver. »
And the messenger of Allah [Salih] said to them, "[Do not harm] the she-camel of Allah or [prevent her from] her drink
Ash-Shams 91:14
فَكَذَّبُوهُ فَعَقَرُوهَا فَدَمۡدَمَ عَلَيۡهِمۡ رَبُّهُم بِذَنۢبِهِمۡ فَسَوَّىٰهَا
Mais, ne prenant pas au sérieux ses avertissements, ils l’ont égorgée. Pour prix de leur crime, leur Seigneur fit s’abattre sur eux Son châtiment auquel nul ne put échapper,
But they denied him and hamstrung her. So their Lord brought down upon them destruction for their sin and made it equal [upon all of them]
Ash-Shams 91:15
وَلَا يَخَافُ عُقۡبَٰهَا
sans redouter les conséquences du châtiment qui les a frappés.
And He does not fear the consequence thereof
