Al-Qari'ah 101:1
ٱلۡقَارِعَةُ
Le Grand choc !
The Striking Calamity
Al-Qari'ah 101:2
مَا ٱلۡقَارِعَةُ
Qu’est-ce que le Grand choc ?
What is the Striking Calamity
Al-Qari'ah 101:3
وَمَآ أَدۡرَىٰكَ مَا ٱلۡقَارِعَةُ
Qui pourrait t’indiquer ce qu’est le Grand choc ?
And what can make you know what is the Striking Calamity
Al-Qari'ah 101:4
يَوۡمَ يَكُونُ ٱلنَّاسُ كَٱلۡفَرَاشِ ٱلۡمَبۡثُوثِ
Ce Jour-là, les hommes s’éparpilleront comme des papillons,
It is the Day when people will be like moths, dispersed
Al-Qari'ah 101:5
وَتَكُونُ ٱلۡجِبَالُ كَٱلۡعِهۡنِ ٱلۡمَنفُوشِ
et les montagnes auront, des flocons de laine cardée, la légèreté.
And the mountains will be like wool, fluffed up
Al-Qari'ah 101:6
فَأَمَّا مَن ثَقُلَتۡ مَوَٰزِينُهُۥ
Celui dont la balance penchera du bon côté,
Then as for one whose scales are heavy [with good deeds]
Al-Qari'ah 101:7
فَهُوَ فِي عِيشَةٖ رَّاضِيَةٖ
jouira au Paradis d’une éternelle félicité.
He will be in a pleasant life
Al-Qari'ah 101:8
وَأَمَّا مَنۡ خَفَّتۡ مَوَٰزِينُهُۥ
Quant à celui dont la balance penchera du mauvais côté,
But as for one whose scales are light
Al-Qari'ah 101:9
فَأُمُّهُۥ هَاوِيَةٞ
il sera, dans l’Abîme, violemment précipité.
His refuge will be an abyss
Al-Qari'ah 101:10
وَمَآ أَدۡرَىٰكَ مَا هِيَهۡ
Mais qui pourrait te décrire sa réalité ?
And what can make you know what that is
Al-Qari'ah 101:11
نَارٌ حَامِيَةُۢ
Un feu ardent à jamais attisé !
It is a Fire, intensely hot
