Coran 37:97 — sourate As-Saffat, verset 97

قَالُواْ ٱبۡنُواْ لَهُۥ بُنۡيَٰنٗا فَأَلۡقُوهُ فِي ٱلۡجَحِيمِ

Ils dirent : « Qu’un bûcher soit dressé et qu’il soit jeté dans le brasier ! »

They said, "Construct for him a furnace and throw him into the burning fire

• Noor International Center (fr): « Faites construire pour lui un bûcher ! Qu’il soit jeté dans le brasier ! » s’écrièrent-t-ils.
• Hilali & Khan: They said: "Build for him a building (it is said that the building was like a furnace) and throw him into the blazing fire!"
• Rowwad Translation Center (en): They said, “Build a pyre for him and throw him into the blazing fire.”

Tafsir (explication) de ce verset 37:97

Lorsqu'ils furent incapables de répondre à Abraham sur le terrain de l'argumentation, ils eurent recours à la force et se concertèrent pour savoir ce qu'ils allaient faire de lui. Ils dirent: Elevez une construction, remplissez-la de bois, mettez le feu à ce bois et jetez Abraham dans la fournaise.
