Koran 6:130 — soera Al-An'am, vers 130

يَٰمَعۡشَرَ ٱلۡجِنِّ وَٱلۡإِنسِ أَلَمۡ يَأۡتِكُمۡ رُسُلٞ مِّنكُمۡ يَقُصُّونَ عَلَيۡكُمۡ ءَايَٰتِي وَيُنذِرُونَكُمۡ لِقَآءَ يَوۡمِكُمۡ هَٰذَاۚ قَالُواْ شَهِدۡنَا عَلَىٰٓ أَنفُسِنَاۖ وَغَرَّتۡهُمُ ٱلۡحَيَوٰةُ ٱلدُّنۡيَا وَشَهِدُواْ عَلَىٰٓ أَنفُسِهِمۡ أَنَّهُمۡ كَانُواْ كَٰفِرِينَ

O gemeenschap van djinn en mensen! Zijn er uit jullie eigen midden dan geen boodschappers tot jullie gekomen, die de verzen (uit Mijn boeken) aan jullie voordroegen? Werden jullie dan niet gewaarschuwd voor jullie ontmoeting op de aangezegde dag (nl. de Dag der Opstanding)? Zij zullen (toegeven en) zeggen: “Wij getuigen tegen onszelf.” Voorzeker, het was het wereldse leven dat hen heeft bedrogen en zij zullen tegen zichzelf getuigen dat zij ongelovigen waren.

O company of jinn and mankind, did there not come to you messengers from among you, relating to you My verses and warning you of the meeting of this Day of yours?" They will say, "We bear witness against ourselves"; and the worldly life had deluded them, and they will bear witness against themselves that they were disbelievers

• Hilali & Khan: O you assembly of jinn and mankind! "Did not there come to you Messengers from amongst you, reciting unto you My Verses and warning you of the meeting of this Day of yours?" They will say: "We bear witness against ourselves." It was the life of this world that deceived them. And they will bear witness against themselves that they were disbelievers.
• Rowwad Translation Center (en): “O assembly of jinn and humans, did there not come to you messengers from among you, reciting to you My verses and warning you of meeting this Day of yours?” They will say, “We testify against ourselves.” They were deluded by the life of this world, and they will testify against themselves that they were disbelievers.
