Koran 43:58 — soera Az-Zukhruf, vers 58
Welnee! Maar zij zijn een volk die redetwisten.
And they said, "Are your gods better, or is he?" They did not present the comparison except for [mere] argument. But, [in fact], they are a people prone to dispute
Andere vertalingen 43:58
- Hilali & Khan: And say: "Are our âlihah (gods) better or is he [‘Îsâ (Jesus)]?" They quoted not the above example except for argument. Nay! But they are a quarrelsome people. (See V. 21:98-101)
- Rowwad Translation Center (en): and they said, “Are Our gods better or he?” They only mentioned him to you for the sake of argument. They are indeed a contentious people.
