Koran 28:60 — soera Al-Qasas, vers 60

وَمَآ أُوتِيتُم مِّن شَيۡءٖ فَمَتَٰعُ ٱلۡحَيَوٰةِ ٱلدُّنۡيَا وَزِينَتُهَاۚ وَمَا عِندَ ٱللَّهِ خَيۡرٞ وَأَبۡقَىٰٓۚ أَفَلَا تَعۡقِلُونَ

En wat jullie ook gegeven is, is slechts een vermaak van het leven van (deze) wereld en haar versiering, en dat wat bij Allah is, is beter en zal voor eeuwig blijven. Hebben jullie dan geen verstand?

And whatever thing you [people] have been given - it is [only for] the enjoyment of worldly life and its adornment. And what is with Allah is better and more lasting; so will you not use reason

• Hilali & Khan: And whatever you have been given is an enjoyment of the life of (this) world and its adornment, and that (Hereafter) which is with Allâh is better and will remain forever. Have you then no sense?
• Rowwad Translation Center (en): Whatever you have been given is only an enjoyment and adornment of the life of this world, but what is with Allah is better and more lasting. Will you not then understand?
