Koran 19:35 — soera Maryam, vers 35

مَا كَانَ لِلَّهِ أَن يَتَّخِذَ مِن وَلَدٖۖ سُبۡحَٰنَهُۥٓۚ إِذَا قَضَىٰٓ أَمۡرٗا فَإِنَّمَا يَقُولُ لَهُۥ كُن فَيَكُونُ

Het past Allah niet om een zoon te nemen. Verheerlijkt (en verheven is Hij boven alles was zij met Hem verenigen). Wanneer Hij tot iets besluit, zegt Hij slechts tegen het: “Wees” en het is.

• Hilali & Khan: It befits not (the Majesty of) Allâh that He should beget a son [this refers to the slander of Christians against Allâh, by saying that ‘Îsâ (Jesus) is the son of Allâh]. Glorified (and Exalted) be He (above all that they associate with Him). When He decrees a thing, He only says to it: "Be!" - and it is.
