Coran 51:44 — sourate Adh-Dhariyat, verset 44

فَعَتَوۡاْ عَنۡ أَمۡرِ رَبِّهِمۡ فَأَخَذَتۡهُمُ ٱلصَّـٰعِقَةُ وَهُمۡ يَنظُرُونَ

Pour avoir orgueilleusement transgressé les ordres de leur Seigneur, ils furent foudroyés tandis qu’ils regardaient.

But they were insolent toward the command of their Lord, so the thunderbolt seized them while they were looking on

• Noor International Center (fr): Ils se dressèrent contre l’ordre de leur Seigneur et furent emportés par la foudre, alors qu’ils ne faisaient que regarder, (impuissants).
• Hilali & Khan: But they insolently defied the Command of their Lord, so the Sâ‘iqah overtook them while they were looking.
• Rowwad Translation Center (en): But they rebelled against the command of their Lord, so the thunderbolt seized them, while they were looking on.

Tafsir (explication) de ce verset 51:44

Ils défièrent le commandement de leur Seigneur et dédaignèrent avoir la foi et obéir. La foudre du châtiment les saisit alors pendant qu’ils attendaient qu’ils s’abattent sur eux, puisqu’ils en avaient été avisés trois jours avant le moment fatidique.
