Coran 40:42 — sourate Ghafir, verset 42

تَدۡعُونَنِي لِأَكۡفُرَ بِٱللَّهِ وَأُشۡرِكَ بِهِۦ مَا لَيۡسَ لِي بِهِۦ عِلۡمٞ وَأَنَا۠ أَدۡعُوكُمۡ إِلَى ٱلۡعَزِيزِ ٱلۡغَفَّـٰرِ

Vous m’appelez à renier Allah en Lui associant des divinités dont je n’ai aucune connaissance, alors que moi-même je vous invite à vous tourner vers le Tout-Puissant, le Tout-Clément.

You invite me to disbelieve in Allah and associate with Him that of which I have no knowledge, and I invite you to the Exalted in Might, the Perpetual Forgiver

Tafsir (explication) de ce verset 40:42

Vous m’appelez à vos faussetés en espérant que je mécroie en Allah et que j’adore avec Lui des divinités dont la validité de leur adoration avec Allah ne m’a pas été révélée. Alors que moi, je vous appelle à croire en Allah, le Puissant à qui personne ne tient tête, Celui qui accorde un pardon à Ses serviteurs.
