Coran 40:18 — sourate Ghafir, verset 18

وَأَنذِرۡهُمۡ يَوۡمَ ٱلۡأٓزِفَةِ إِذِ ٱلۡقُلُوبُ لَدَى ٱلۡحَنَاجِرِ كَٰظِمِينَۚ مَا لِلظَّـٰلِمِينَ مِنۡ حَمِيمٖ وَلَا شَفِيعٖ يُطَاعُ

Avertis les hommes du Jour imminent où les cœurs et les gorges seront serrés par l’angoisse. Les impies ne pourront alors bénéficier ni de l’aide d’un proche compagnon, ni d’une quelconque intercession.

And warn them, [O Muhammad], of the Approaching Day, when hearts are at the throats, filled [with distress]. For the wrongdoers there will be no devoted friend and no intercessor [who is] obeyed

Autres traductions 40:18

• Noor International Center (fr): Avertis-les du jour tout proche, lorsque les cœurs noueront les gorges d’angoisse. Les injustes n’auront alors ni ami chaleureux ni intercesseur crédible.
• Hilali & Khan: And warn them (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم) of the Day that is drawing near (i.e. the Day of Resurrection), when the hearts will be choking the throats, and they can neither return them (hearts) to their chests nor can they throw them out. There will be no friend, nor an intercessor for the Zâlimûn (polytheists and wrong-doers), who could be given heed to.
• Rowwad Translation Center (en): Warn them of the approaching Day, when hearts will be at the throats, full of distress. The wrongdoers will have no close friend or intercessor whose word may be heeded.

Tafsir (explication) de ce verset 40:18

Ô Messager, menace-les du Jour de la Résurrection. En effet, ce jour-là aura indubitablement lieu et toute chose qui aura indubitablement lieu peut être considérée comme proche.. La terreur sera telle que les cœurs monteront jusqu’aux gorges et les gens resteront silencieux. Personne ne parlera, excepté ceux que le Tout Miséricordieux autorisera, et ceux qui auront été injustes envers eux-mêmes par leur polythéisme et leurs péchés n’auront alors ni ami, ni proche ni intercesseur influent.
