Coran 26:189 — sourate Ash-Shu'ara, verset 189

فَكَذَّبُوهُ فَأَخَذَهُمۡ عَذَابُ يَوۡمِ ٱلظُّلَّةِۚ إِنَّهُۥ كَانَ عَذَابَ يَوۡمٍ عَظِيمٍ

Pour l’avoir traité d’imposteur, ils furent saisis par le châtiment du jour de la Nuée, châtiment d’un jour terrifiant.

And they denied him, so the punishment of the day of the black cloud seized them. Indeed, it was the punishment of a terrible day

• Hilali & Khan: But they belied him, so the torment of the day of shadow (a gloomy cloud) seized them. Indeed that was the torment of a Great Day.
• Rowwad Translation Center (en): Thus they rejected him, so they were seized by the punishment of the cloudy day; it was the punishment of a horrible day.

Tafsir (explication) de ce verset 26:189

Ils persistèrent néanmoins à le démentir et un châtiment s’abattit alors sur eux: un nuage leur fit de l’ombre suite à une journée de très forte chaleur et de ce nuage tomba sur eux une pluie de feu qui les consuma Ce jour-là fut terrible et effrayant.
