Koran 7:131 — Sure Al-A'raf, Vers 131

فَإِذَا جَآءَتۡهُمُ ٱلۡحَسَنَةُ قَالُواْ لَنَا هَٰذِهِۦۖ وَإِن تُصِبۡهُمۡ سَيِّئَةٞ يَطَّيَّرُواْ بِمُوسَىٰ وَمَن مَّعَهُۥٓۗ أَلَآ إِنَّمَا طَـٰٓئِرُهُمۡ عِندَ ٱللَّهِ وَلَٰكِنَّ أَكۡثَرَهُمۡ لَا يَعۡلَمُونَ

Aber wenn dann etwas Gutes zu ihnen kam, sagten sie: Dies gehört uns. und wenn sie etwas Böses traf, sahen sie ein (böses) Vorzeichen in Musa und denjenigen, die mit ihm waren. Aber ihr Vorzeichen ist sicherlich bei Allah, jedoch wissen die meisten von ihnen nicht.

But when good came to them, they said, "This is ours [by right]." And if a bad [condition] struck them, they saw an evil omen in Moses and those with him. Unquestionably, their fortune is with Allah, but most of them do not know

• Rowwad Translation Center (de): Wenn dann (etwas) Gutes zu ihnen kam, sagten sie: „Dies gehört uns.“ Und wenn sie etwas Schlechtes traf, sahen sie ein (schlechtes) Omen in Musa und denjenigen, die mit ihm waren. Aber ihr Vorzeichen (und alles an Vorherbestimmungen) ist sicherlich bei Allah, jedoch wissen die meisten von ihnen nicht.
• Hilali & Khan: But whenever good came to them, they said: "Ours is this." And if evil afflicted them, they ascribed it to evil omens connected with Mûsâ (Moses) and those with him. Be informed! Verily, their evil omens are with Allâh but most of them know not.
• Rowwad Translation Center (en): When prosperity came their way, they said, “This is what we deserve,” but when adversity befell them, they ascribed it to the misfortune of Moses and those who were with him. Indeed, their misfortune is decreed by Allah, but most of them do not know.
