Koran 68:43 — Sure Al-Qalam, Vers 43

خَٰشِعَةً أَبۡصَٰرُهُمۡ تَرۡهَقُهُمۡ ذِلَّةٞۖ وَقَدۡ كَانُواْ يُدۡعَوۡنَ إِلَى ٱلسُّجُودِ وَهُمۡ سَٰلِمُونَ

während ihre Blicke demütig sind und Erniedrigung sie bedeckt. Dabei waren sie doch bereits aufgefordert worden, sich (anbetend) niederzuwerfen, als sie (noch) heil waren.

Their eyes humbled, humiliation will cover them. And they used to be invited to prostration while they were sound

• Rowwad Translation Center (de): Demütig sind ihre Blicke und Erniedrigung bedeckt sie. Dabei waren sie doch bereits aufgefordert worden, sich (anbetend) niederzuwerfen, als sie (noch) wohlbehalten waren.
• Hilali & Khan: Their eyes will be cast down and ignominy will cover them; they used to be called to prostrate themselves (offer prayers), while they were healthy and good (in the life of the world, but they did not).
• Rowwad Translation Center (en): Their eyes will be downcast, overwhelmed with humiliation, for they were invited to prostrate when they were capable [but they refused].
