Koran 40:37 — Sure Ghafir, Vers 37

أَسۡبَٰبَ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ فَأَطَّلِعَ إِلَىٰٓ إِلَٰهِ مُوسَىٰ وَإِنِّي لَأَظُنُّهُۥ كَٰذِبٗاۚ وَكَذَٰلِكَ زُيِّنَ لِفِرۡعَوۡنَ سُوٓءُ عَمَلِهِۦ وَصُدَّ عَنِ ٱلسَّبِيلِۚ وَمَا كَيۡدُ فِرۡعَوۡنَ إِلَّا فِي تَبَابٖ

die Seile der Himmel, daß ich zum Gott Musas emporsteige, und ich halte ihn wahrlich für einen Lügner. So wurde Fir’aun sein böses Tun ausgeschmückt, und er wurde vom (rechten) Weg abgehalten. Aber Fir’auns listige Tat wird nur zugrunde gehen.

The ways into the heavens - so that I may look at the deity of Moses; but indeed, I think he is a liar." And thus was made attractive to Pharaoh the evil of his deed, and he was averted from the [right] way. And the plan of Pharaoh was not except in ruin

• Rowwad Translation Center (de): die Seile der Himmel, dass ich zum Angebeteten Musas emporsteige, und ich halte ihn gewiss für einen Lügner.“ Und auf diese Weise wurde Fir'aun sein schlechtes Tun ausgeschmückt, und er wurde vom (rechten) Weg abgehalten. Und die List Fir'auns wird ja zugrunde gehen.
• Hilali & Khan: "The ways of the heavens, and I may look upon the Ilâh (God) of Mûsâ (Moses): But verily, I think him to be a liar." Thus it was made fair-seeming, in Fir‘aun’s (Pharaoh) eyes, the evil of his deeds, and he was hindered from the (Right) Path; and the plot of Fir‘aun (Pharaoh) led to nothing but loss and destruction (for him).
• Rowwad Translation Center (en): the pathways to the heavens so that I have a look at the God of Moses, for I think he is a liar.” This is how Pharaoh’s evil deeds were made appealing to him and he was hindered from the [right] way, and the plan of Pharaoh led only to ruin.
