Koran 4:72 — Sure An-Nisa, Vers 72

وَإِنَّ مِنكُمۡ لَمَن لَّيُبَطِّئَنَّ فَإِنۡ أَصَٰبَتۡكُم مُّصِيبَةٞ قَالَ قَدۡ أَنۡعَمَ ٱللَّهُ عَلَيَّ إِذۡ لَمۡ أَكُن مَّعَهُمۡ شَهِيدٗا

Unter euch gibt es sehr wohl manch einen, der ganz langsam tut. Wenn euch dann ein Unglück trifft, sagt er: „Allah hat mir fürwahr eine Gunst erwiesen, da ich nicht mit ihnen zugegen war.

And indeed, there is among you he who lingers behind; and if disaster strikes you, he says, "Allah has favored me in that I was not present with them

• Hilali & Khan: There is certainly among you he who would linger behind (from fighting in Allâh’s Cause). If a misfortune befalls you, he says, "Indeed Allâh has favoured me in that I was not present among them."
• Rowwad Translation Center (en): There are some among you who lag behind [from the battle]; then if a calamity befalls you, he will say, “Allah has blessed me that I was not present with them.”
