Koran 29:3 — Sure Al-'Ankabut, Vers 3

وَلَقَدۡ فَتَنَّا ٱلَّذِينَ مِن قَبۡلِهِمۡۖ فَلَيَعۡلَمَنَّ ٱللَّهُ ٱلَّذِينَ صَدَقُواْ وَلَيَعۡلَمَنَّ ٱلۡكَٰذِبِينَ

Wir haben bereits diejenigen vor ihnen geprüft. Allah wird ganz gewiß diejenigen kennen, die die Wahrheit sprechen, und Er wird ganz gewiß die Lügner kennen.

But We have certainly tried those before them, and Allah will surely make evident those who are truthful, and He will surely make evident the liars

• Rowwad Translation Center (de): Wir haben ja bereits diejenigen vor ihnen (heimsuchend) geprüft. So wird Allah ganz gewiss diejenigen kennen, die die Wahrheit sprechen, und Er wird ganz gewiss die Lügner kennen.
• Hilali & Khan: And We indeed tested those who were before them. And Allâh will certainly make (it) known (the truth of) those who are true, and will certainly make (it) known (the falsehood of) those who are liars, (although Allâh knows all that before putting them to test).
• Rowwad Translation Center (en): We certainly tested those who came before them. For Allah will surely make known those who are truthful and those who are liars.
