Koran 23:100 — Sure Al-Mu'minun, Vers 100

لَعَلِّيٓ أَعۡمَلُ صَٰلِحٗا فِيمَا تَرَكۡتُۚ كَلَّآۚ إِنَّهَا كَلِمَةٌ هُوَ قَآئِلُهَاۖ وَمِن وَرَآئِهِم بَرۡزَخٌ إِلَىٰ يَوۡمِ يُبۡعَثُونَ

auf daß ich rechtschaffen handele in dem, was ich hinterlassen habe. Keineswegs! Es ist nur ein Wort, das er (so) sagt; hinter ihnen wird ein trennendes Hindernis sein bis zu dem Tag, da sie auferweckt werden.

That I might do righteousness in that which I left behind." No! It is only a word he is saying; and behind them is a barrier until the Day they are resurrected

• Hilali & Khan: "So that I may do good in that which I have left behind!" No! It is but a word that he speaks; and behind them is Barzakh (a barrier) until the Day when they will be resurrected.
• Rowwad Translation Center (en): so that I may do righteous deeds in what I left behind.” No, it is only a word he utters. And behind them is a barrier until the Day they are resurrected
