Koran 72:17 — soera Al-Jinn, vers 17

لِّنَفۡتِنَهُمۡ فِيهِۚ وَمَن يُعۡرِضۡ عَن ذِكۡرِ رَبِّهِۦ يَسۡلُكۡهُ عَذَابٗا صَعَدٗا

Dat Wij hen daarmee beproeven (of zij dankbaar zullen blijven of niet). En ieder die zich van de vermaning van zijn Heer afkeert, Hij zal er voor zorgen dat hij een strenge bestraffing zal binnentreden.

So We might test them therein. And whoever turns away from the remembrance of his Lord He will put into arduous punishment

• Hilali & Khan: That We might try them thereby. And whosoever turns away from the Reminder of his Lord (i.e. this Qur’ân, - and practise not its laws and orders), He will cause him to enter in a severe torment (i.e. Hell).
• Rowwad Translation Center (en): as a test for them. But whoever turns away from the remembrance of his Lord, He will make him suffer an arduous punishment.
