Koran 5:91 — soera Al-Ma'idah, vers 91

إِنَّمَا يُرِيدُ ٱلشَّيۡطَٰنُ أَن يُوقِعَ بَيۡنَكُمُ ٱلۡعَدَٰوَةَ وَٱلۡبَغۡضَآءَ فِي ٱلۡخَمۡرِ وَٱلۡمَيۡسِرِ وَيَصُدَّكُمۡ عَن ذِكۡرِ ٱللَّهِ وَعَنِ ٱلصَّلَوٰةِۖ فَهَلۡ أَنتُم مُّنتَهُونَ

En hij (Shaytaan) wil slechts vijandigheid en haat zaaien (door jullie tegen elkaar op te zetten) met behulp van bedwelmende middelen en het gokken. (Op die manier houdt hij jullie ‘zoet’) en weerhoudt hij jullie niet alleen om Allah te gedenken maar ook om het gebed te verrichten. Weten jullie dan nooit van ophouden?

Satan only wants to cause between you animosity and hatred through intoxicants and gambling and to avert you from the remembrance of Allah and from prayer. So will you not desist
