Koran 46:29 — soera Al-Ahqaf, vers 29

وَإِذۡ صَرَفۡنَآ إِلَيۡكَ نَفَرٗا مِّنَ ٱلۡجِنِّ يَسۡتَمِعُونَ ٱلۡقُرۡءَانَ فَلَمَّا حَضَرُوهُ قَالُوٓاْ أَنصِتُواْۖ فَلَمَّا قُضِيَ وَلَّوۡاْ إِلَىٰ قَوۡمِهِم مُّنذِرِينَ

En (gedenk) toen Wij een aantal jinns naar jouw (o Mohammed) richting stuurden. Zij luisterden naar de Koran tijdens hun aanwezigheid (bij de fadjr-recitatie van Mohammed), waarop zij (onderling) zeiden: “Luister aandachtig!” Na afloop keerden zij (vervuld met vrees voor de bestraffing) terug als waarschuwers voor hun volk.

And [mention, O Muhammad], when We directed to you a few of the jinn, listening to the Qur'an. And when they attended it, they said, "Listen quietly." And when it was concluded, they went back to their people as warners

• Hilali & Khan: And (remember) when We sent towards you (Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم) a group (three to ten persons) of the jinn, (quietly) listening to the Qur’ân. When they stood in the presence thereof, they said: "Listen in silence!" And when it was finished, they returned to their people, as warners.
• Rowwad Translation Center (en): And [remember] when We sent to you a group of jinn to listen to the Qur’an. When they heard it, they said [to one another], “Listen attentively.” Then when it was over, they returned to their people as warners.
