Koran 43:56 — soera Az-Zukhruf, vers 56

فَجَعَلۡنَٰهُمۡ سَلَفٗا وَمَثَلٗا لِّلۡأٓخِرِينَ

En Wij maakten hen tot voorlopers en een voorbeeld voor latere generaties.

And We made them a precedent and an example for the later peoples
