Koran 40:10 — soera Ghafir, vers 10

إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ يُنَادَوۡنَ لَمَقۡتُ ٱللَّهِ أَكۡبَرُ مِن مَّقۡتِكُمۡ أَنفُسَكُمۡ إِذۡ تُدۡعَوۡنَ إِلَى ٱلۡإِيمَٰنِ فَتَكۡفُرُونَ

Degenen die ongelovig zijn zullen aangesproken worden met: “Allah Zijn afkeer was groter voor jullie dan jullie afkeer tegen elkaar (op deze dag) toen jullie tot het geloof opgeroepen werden maar het weigerden.”

Indeed, those who disbelieve will be addressed, "The hatred of Allah for you was [even] greater than your hatred of yourselves [this Day in Hell] when you were invited to faith, but you refused

• Rowwad Translation Center (en): Those who disbelieve will be addressed, “Allah’s abhorrence of you when you were called to believe but you disbelieved was greater than your abhorrence of yourselves [Today].”
