Koran 4:116 — soera An-Nisa, vers 116

إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَا يَغۡفِرُ أَن يُشۡرَكَ بِهِۦ وَيَغۡفِرُ مَا دُونَ ذَٰلِكَ لِمَن يَشَآءُۚ وَمَن يُشۡرِكۡ بِٱللَّهِ فَقَدۡ ضَلَّ ضَلَٰلَۢا بَعِيدًا

Waarlijk! Allah vergeeft niet dat Hem deelgenoten toegekend worden maar Hij vergeeft daarbuiten degene die Hij wil en die andere zonden gepleegd heeft en iedereen die deelgenoten aan Allah toekent is zeker ver afgedwaald.

Indeed, Allah does not forgive association with Him, but He forgives what is less than that for whom He wills. And he who associates others with Allah has certainly gone far astray

• Hilali & Khan: Verily! Allâh forgives not (the sin of) setting up partners (in worship) with Him, but He forgives whom He wills sins other than that, and whoever sets up partners in worship with Allâh, has indeed strayed far away.
• Rowwad Translation Center (en): Allah does not forgive associating partners with Him, but forgives other than that to whom He wills; whoever associates partners with Allah has certainly gone far astray.
