Koran 34:41 — soera Saba, vers 41

قَالُواْ سُبۡحَٰنَكَ أَنتَ وَلِيُّنَا مِن دُونِهِمۖ بَلۡ كَانُواْ يَعۡبُدُونَ ٱلۡجِنَّۖ أَكۡثَرُهُم بِهِم مُّؤۡمِنُونَ

Zij zullen zeggen: “Verheven bent U! U bent onze beschermer in plaats van hun. Zeker niet! Zij aanbaden de (duivelse) djinn (gewillig) en geloofden (hetgeen de duivels hen voorlogen).”

They will say, "Exalted are You! You, [O Allah], are our benefactor not them. Rather, they used to worship the jinn; most of them were believers in them
