Koran 24:51 — soera An-Nur, vers 51

إِنَّمَا كَانَ قَوۡلَ ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنِينَ إِذَا دُعُوٓاْ إِلَى ٱللَّهِ وَرَسُولِهِۦ لِيَحۡكُمَ بَيۡنَهُمۡ أَن يَقُولُواْ سَمِعۡنَا وَأَطَعۡنَاۚ وَأُوْلَـٰٓئِكَ هُمُ ٱلۡمُفۡلِحُونَ

De enige woorden van de gelovigen wanneer zij uitgenodigd worden naar Allah en Zijn Boodschapper om tussen hen te oordelen is dat zij zeggen: “Wij horen en gehoorzamen.” En dat zijn de geslaagden.

• Hilali & Khan: The only saying of the faithful believers, when they are called to Allâh (His Words, the Qur’ân) and His Messenger (صلى الله عليه وسلم), to judge between them, is that they say: "We hear and we obey." And such are the successful (who will live forever in Paradise).
• Rowwad Translation Center (en): As for the believers, when they are called to Allah and His Messenger so that he may judge between them, they say, “We listen and obey.” It is they who are successful.
