Koran 21:9 — soera Al-Anbya, vers 9

ثُمَّ صَدَقۡنَٰهُمُ ٱلۡوَعۡدَ فَأَنجَيۡنَٰهُمۡ وَمَن نَّشَآءُ وَأَهۡلَكۡنَا ٱلۡمُسۡرِفِينَ

Toen hebben Wij voor hen de belofte vervuld en Wij hebben hen gered en degenen die Wij wilden, maar Wij hebben de buitensporigen vernietigd.

Then We fulfilled for them the promise, and We saved them and whom We willed and destroyed the transgressors

• Rowwad Translation Center (en): Then We fulfilled Our promise to them: We saved them and those whom We willed, and destroyed those who transgressed all bounds.
