Koran 2:279 — soera Al-Baqarah, vers 279

فَإِن لَّمۡ تَفۡعَلُواْ فَأۡذَنُواْ بِحَرۡبٖ مِّنَ ٱللَّهِ وَرَسُولِهِۦۖ وَإِن تُبۡتُمۡ فَلَكُمۡ رُءُوسُ أَمۡوَٰلِكُمۡ لَا تَظۡلِمُونَ وَلَا تُظۡلَمُونَ

En als jullie dat niet doen, hoed jullie dan voor de aankondiging van oorlog van Allah en Zijn boodschapper, maar als jullie berouw hebben, zullen jullie je geldelijke som behouden. Handel niet onrechtmatig en jullie zullen niet onrechtvaardig behandeld worden.

And if you do not, then be informed of a war [against you] from Allah and His Messenger. But if you repent, you may have your principal - [thus] you do no wrong, nor are you wronged

• Hilali & Khan: And if you do not do it, then take a notice of war from Allâh and His Messenger but if you repent, you shall have your capital sums. Deal not unjustly (by asking more than your capital sums), and you shall not be dealt with unjustly (by receiving less than your capital sums).
• Rowwad Translation Center (en): But if you do not do it, then beware of a declaration of war from Allah and His Messenger. However, if you repent, you may retain your capital – neither harming nor suffering harm.
