Koran 2:193 — soera Al-Baqarah, vers 193

وَقَٰتِلُوهُمۡ حَتَّىٰ لَا تَكُونَ فِتۡنَةٞ وَيَكُونَ ٱلدِّينُ لِلَّهِۖ فَإِنِ ٱنتَهَوۡاْ فَلَا عُدۡوَٰنَ إِلَّا عَلَى ٱلظَّـٰلِمِينَ

En bestrijd hen totdat er geen fitnah (ongeloof en polytheïsme) meer is en dat (alle) aanbidding voor Allah (alléén) is. Maar als zij zich overgeven laat er dan geen overschrijding zijn behalve tegen de onrechtvaardigen.

Fight them until there is no [more] fitnah and [until] worship is [acknowledged to be] for Allah. But if they cease, then there is to be no aggression except against the oppressors

• Hilali & Khan: And fight them until there is no more Fitnah (disbelief and worshipping of others along with Allâh) and (all and every kind of) worship is for Allâh (Alone). But if they cease, let there be no transgression except against Az-Zâlimûn (the polytheists, and wrong-doers)
• Rowwad Translation Center (en): Fight them until there is no more persecution and religion is only for Allah. But if they desist, let there be no aggression except against the oppressors.
