Koran 18:12 — soera Al-Kahf, vers 12

ثُمَّ بَعَثۡنَٰهُمۡ لِنَعۡلَمَ أَيُّ ٱلۡحِزۡبَيۡنِ أَحۡصَىٰ لِمَا لَبِثُوٓاْ أَمَدٗا

Toen lieten Wij hen herrijzen, zodat Wij hen konden testen wie van de twee partijen het beste was in het berekenen van de tijd die zij hadden verbleven.

Then We awakened them that We might show which of the two factions was most precise in calculating what [extent] they had remained in time

• Hilali & Khan: Then We raised them up (from their sleep), that We might test which of the two parties was best at calculating the time period that they had tarried.
• Rowwad Translation Center (en): Then We awakened them so that We may see which of the two parties would be more precise in calculating the length of their stay.
