Koran 17:5 — soera Al-Isra, vers 5

فَإِذَا جَآءَ وَعۡدُ أُولَىٰهُمَا بَعَثۡنَا عَلَيۡكُمۡ عِبَادٗا لَّنَآ أُوْلِي بَأۡسٖ شَدِيدٖ فَجَاسُواْ خِلَٰلَ ٱلدِّيَارِۚ وَكَانَ وَعۡدٗا مَّفۡعُولٗا

Dus toen de belofte van de eerste twee beloften kwam, stuurden Wij tot jullie Onze dienaren, bezitters van zware kracht (die jullie een verschrikkelijke oorlog gaven). Zij kwamen in het allerbinnenste van jullie huizen. En de belofte van Allah komt altijd ten uitvoer.

So when the [time of] promise came for the first of them, We sent against you servants of Ours - those of great military might, and they probed [even] into the homes, and it was a promise fulfilled

• Hilali & Khan: So, when the promise came for the first of the two, We sent against you slaves of Ours given to terrible warfare. They entered the very innermost parts of your homes. And it was a promise (completely) fulfilled.
• Rowwad Translation Center (en): When the first of the two warnings came to pass, We sent against you some of Our slaves of great might, and they ravaged through the land; this warning was bound to be fulfilled.
