Koran 16:107 — soera An-Nahl, vers 107

ذَٰلِكَ بِأَنَّهُمُ ٱسۡتَحَبُّواْ ٱلۡحَيَوٰةَ ٱلدُّنۡيَا عَلَى ٱلۡأٓخِرَةِ وَأَنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَا يَهۡدِي ٱلۡقَوۡمَ ٱلۡكَٰفِرِينَ

Dat is vanwege (het feit) dat zij het leven van deze wereld de voorkeur aan geven boven dat van het hiernamaals. En Allah leidt niet het volk dat ongelovig is.

That is because they preferred the worldly life over the Hereafter and that Allah does not guide the disbelieving people
