Koran 16:100 — soera An-Nahl, vers 100

إِنَّمَا سُلۡطَٰنُهُۥ عَلَى ٱلَّذِينَ يَتَوَلَّوۡنَهُۥ وَٱلَّذِينَ هُم بِهِۦ مُشۡرِكُونَ

Waarlijk! Zijn (duivels) gezag is slechts (effectief) op degenen die hem gehoorzamen en volgen, en die deelgenoten (in hun aanbidding) aan Hem toekennen.

His authority is only over those who take him as an ally and those who through him associate others with Allah
