Koran 11:68 — soera Hud, vers 68

كَأَن لَّمۡ يَغۡنَوۡاْ فِيهَآۗ أَلَآ إِنَّ ثَمُودَاْ كَفَرُواْ رَبَّهُمۡۗ أَلَا بُعۡدٗا لِّثَمُودَ

Alsof zij daar nooit geleefd hadden. Geen twijfel! Waarlijk, de Thamoed geloofden niet in hun Heer. Weg dus met de Thamoed!

As if they had never prospered therein. Unquestionably, Thamud denied their Lord; then, away with Thamud
