Coran 9:128 — sourate At-Tawbah, verset 128

لَقَدۡ جَآءَكُمۡ رَسُولٞ مِّنۡ أَنفُسِكُمۡ عَزِيزٌ عَلَيۡهِ مَا عَنِتُّمۡ حَرِيصٌ عَلَيۡكُم بِٱلۡمُؤۡمِنِينَ رَءُوفٞ رَّحِيمٞ

Voilà que vous est venu un Messager issu de vous, à la fois sensible à vos souffrances, désireux de vous voir embrasser la foi et plein de compassion et de miséricorde envers les croyants.

There has certainly come to you a Messenger from among yourselves. Grievous to him is what you suffer; [he is] concerned over you and to the believers is kind and merciful

• Noor International Center (fr): Il vous est venu un Messager (choisi) parmi vous. Il lui pèse de vous voir souffrir, et il lui importe de vous voir heureux. Et, envers les croyants, il est plein de pitié et de compassion.
• Hilali & Khan: Verily, there has come unto you a Messenger (Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم) from amongst yourselves (i.e. whom you know well). It grieves him that you should receive any injury or difficulty. He (Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم) is anxious over you (to be rightly guided, to repent to Allâh, and beg Him to pardon and forgive your sins in order that you may enter Paradise and be saved from the punishment of the Hell-fire); for the believers (he صلى الله عليه وسلم is) full of pity, kind, and merciful.
• Rowwad Translation Center (en): There has come to you a Messenger from among yourselves; he is grieved by your suffering, and is concerned for you, and is gracious and merciful towards the believers.

Ô vous les Arabes, un Prophète Arabe, comme vous est venu à vous. Ce qui vous est pénible l’est également pour lui et son désir est grand de vous guider et de vous entourer de sollicitude. Il est particulièrement compatissant et miséricordieux envers les croyants.
