Coran 8:59 — sourate Al-Anfal, verset 59

وَلَا يَحۡسَبَنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ سَبَقُوٓاْۚ إِنَّهُمۡ لَا يُعۡجِزُونَ

Que ceux qui ont rejeté la foi ne croient surtout pas qu’ils Nous ont échappé. Non ! Ils ne pourront éviter Notre châtiment.

And let not those who disbelieve think they will escape. Indeed, they will not cause failure [to Allah]

• Noor International Center (fr): Que les mécréants ne s’imaginent surtout pas qu’ils Nous ont distancés (dans leur fuite) : ils ne pourront pas mettre au défi (Notre) puissance.
• Hilali & Khan: And let not those who disbelieve think that they can outstrip (escape from the punishment). Verily, they will never be able to save themselves (from Allâh’s Punishment).
• Rowwad Translation Center (en): The disbelievers should not think that they are unreachable; they cannot escape.
