Coran 6:164 — sourate Al-An'am, verset 164

قُلۡ أَغَيۡرَ ٱللَّهِ أَبۡغِي رَبّٗا وَهُوَ رَبُّ كُلِّ شَيۡءٖۚ وَلَا تَكۡسِبُ كُلُّ نَفۡسٍ إِلَّا عَلَيۡهَاۚ وَلَا تَزِرُ وَازِرَةٞ وِزۡرَ أُخۡرَىٰۚ ثُمَّ إِلَىٰ رَبِّكُم مَّرۡجِعُكُمۡ فَيُنَبِّئُكُم بِمَا كُنتُمۡ فِيهِ تَخۡتَلِفُونَ

Dis : « Pourrais-je désirer un autre Maître qu’Allah, Lui qui est le Seigneur de toute chose ? » Quiconque commet un méfait en subira seul les effets. Nul n’aura à supporter le forfait d’un autre. Puis vous retournerez à votre Seigneur qui vous éclairera au sujet de ce qui vous opposait.

Say, "Is it other than Allah I should desire as a lord while He is the Lord of all things? And every soul earns not [blame] except against itself, and no bearer of burdens will bear the burden of another. Then to your Lord is your return, and He will inform you concerning that over which you used to differ

• Noor International Center (fr): Dis : « Voudrais-je un autre Seigneur qu’Allah quand Lui est le Seigneur de Toute chose ? » Toute âme n’acquiert qu’à ses dépens le mal qu’elle a commis. Nul ne portera le fardeau d’un autre. Puis c’est vers votre Seigneur que sera votre retour. Il vous informera alors des différends où vous étiez partagés.
• Hilali & Khan: Say: "Shall I seek a lord other than Allâh, while He is the Lord of all things? No person earns any (sin) except against himself (only), and no bearer of burdens shall bear the burden of another. Then unto your Lord is your return, so He will tell you that wherein you have been differing."
• Rowwad Translation Center (en): Say [O Prophet], “Should I seek a lord other than Allah, when He is the Lord of everything?” Every soul will face the consequences of its actions. No bearer of burden will bear the burden of another. Then to your Lord is your return, and He will inform you concerning that over which you used to differ.

Tafsir (explication) de ce verset 6:164

Ô Messager, dis à ces polythéistes: Chercherais-je un autre seigneur qu’Allah alors qu’Il est le Seigneur de toute chose. Il est en effet le Seigneur des divinités que vous adorez en dehors de Lui. Aucun innocent ne sera inculpé pour le péché d’un autre, c’est vers votre Seigneur Seul que se fera votre retour le Jour de la Résurrection et Il vous informera, concernant votre religion, de ce sur quoi vous divergiez.
