Coran 5:31 — sourate Al-Ma'idah, verset 31

فَبَعَثَ ٱللَّهُ غُرَابٗا يَبۡحَثُ فِي ٱلۡأَرۡضِ لِيُرِيَهُۥ كَيۡفَ يُوَٰرِي سَوۡءَةَ أَخِيهِۚ قَالَ يَٰوَيۡلَتَىٰٓ أَعَجَزۡتُ أَنۡ أَكُونَ مِثۡلَ هَٰذَا ٱلۡغُرَابِ فَأُوَٰرِيَ سَوۡءَةَ أَخِيۖ فَأَصۡبَحَ مِنَ ٱلنَّـٰدِمِينَ

Allah envoya alors un corbeau qui, en grattant la terre, lui montra comment enfouir le cadavre de son frère. Il s’exclama : « Malheur à moi ! Ne suis-je donc pas capable, à l’image de ce corbeau, d’ensevelir la dépouille de mon frère ? » Il fut donc en proie aux remords.

Then Allah sent a crow searching in the ground to show him how to hide the disgrace of his brother. He said, "O woe to me! Have I failed to be like this crow and hide the body of my brother?" And he became of the regretful

• Noor International Center (fr): Allah envoya un corbeau qui se mit à gratter la terre pour lui montrer comment enfouir la dépouille de son frère. Il dit : « Malheur à moi ! Suis-je donc incapable d’être comme ce corbeau et d’enfouir le cadavre de mon frère ? » Il se retrouva alors du nombre de ceux que ronge le remords.
• Hilali & Khan: Then Allâh sent a crow who scratched the ground to show him to hide the dead body of his brother. He (the murderer) said: "Woe to me! Am I not even able to be as this crow and to hide the dead body of my brother?" Then he became one of those who regretted.
• Rowwad Translation Center (en): Then Allah sent a crow scratching the ground to show him how to bury the corpse of his brother. He said, “Woe to me! Have I failed even to be like this crow to bury the corpse of my brother?” And he became one of the remorseful.

Tafsir (explication) de ce verset 5:31

Allah envoya alors un corbeau qui se mit à fouiller le sol afin d’enterrer un congénère mort dans la finalité de lui apprendre comment couvrir le corps de son frère et Caïn rejoignit le nombre des contrits.
