Coran 42:7 — sourate Ash-Shuraa, verset 7

وَكَذَٰلِكَ أَوۡحَيۡنَآ إِلَيۡكَ قُرۡءَانًا عَرَبِيّٗا لِّتُنذِرَ أُمَّ ٱلۡقُرَىٰ وَمَنۡ حَوۡلَهَا وَتُنذِرَ يَوۡمَ ٱلۡجَمۡعِ لَا رَيۡبَ فِيهِۚ فَرِيقٞ فِي ٱلۡجَنَّةِ وَفَرِيقٞ فِي ٱلسَّعِيرِ

C’est ainsi que Nous t’avons révélé le Coran, récitation en langue arabe, afin que tu avertisses la Cité Mère et tous les peuples de la terre, et que tu mettes en garde les hommes contre le Jour inéluctable où ils seront tous rassemblés, une partie au Paradis et l’autre dans les flammes de l’Enfer.

And thus We have revealed to you an Arabic Qur'an that you may warn the Mother of Cities [Makkah] and those around it and warn of the Day of Assembly, about which there is no doubt. A party will be in Paradise and a party in the Blaze

• Noor International Center (fr): Ainsi t’avons-Nous révélé un Coran (en langue) arabe pour que tu avertisses la Mère des cités et ceux qui l’entourent ; et pour prévenir du Jour du Rassemblement à propos duquel il n’y a nul doute. Il y aura alors un groupe au Paradis, et un (autre) groupe dans la Fournaise.
• Hilali & Khan: And thus We have revealed to you (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه و سلم) a Qur’ân in Arabic that you may warn the Mother of the Towns (Makkah) and all around it, and warn (them) of the Day of Assembling of which there is no doubt: when a party will be in Paradise (those who believed in Allâh and followed what Allâh’s Messenger صلى الله عليه و سلم brought them) and a party in the blazing Fire (Hell) (those who disbelieved in Allâh and followed not what Allâh’s Messenger صلى الله عليه و سلم brought them).

Tafsir (explication) de ce verset 42:7

Ô Messager, tout comme Nous avons fait descendre la Révélation aux prophètes avant toi, Nous t’avons révélé un Coran arabe afin que tu avertisses les habitants de la Mecque et des villes arabes qui l’entourent puis les gens dans leur totalité, et que tu menaces les gens du Jour de la Résurrection, le Jour où Allah réunira les premières et les dernières générations dans un seul lieu pour leur demander des comptes et les rétribuer. Il ne fait aucun doute que ce jour aura lieu et les gens seront alors divisés en deux camps: Le premier sera formé des croyants qui iront au Paradis et le second sera formé des mécréants qui iront en Enfer.
