Coran 36:74 — sourate Ya-Sin, verset 74

وَٱتَّخَذُواْ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ ءَالِهَةٗ لَّعَلَّهُمۡ يُنصَرُونَ

Ils ont adopté, en dehors d’Allah, des divinités dans l’espoir d’obtenir leur assistance.

But they have taken besides Allah [false] deities that perhaps they would be helped

• Hilali & Khan: And they have taken besides Allâh âlihah (gods), hoping that they might be helped (by those so-called gods).
