Coran 34:9 — sourate Saba, verset 9

أَفَلَمۡ يَرَوۡاْ إِلَىٰ مَا بَيۡنَ أَيۡدِيهِمۡ وَمَا خَلۡفَهُم مِّنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضِۚ إِن نَّشَأۡ نَخۡسِفۡ بِهِمُ ٱلۡأَرۡضَ أَوۡ نُسۡقِطۡ عَلَيۡهِمۡ كِسَفٗا مِّنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِۚ إِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكَ لَأٓيَةٗ لِّكُلِّ عَبۡدٖ مُّنِيبٖ

Ne voient-ils pas le ciel et la terre s’étendre devant et derrière eux ? Si Nous le voulions, Nous les ferions engloutir par la terre ou ferions tomber le ciel sur eux par pans entiers. Voilà assurément un signe pour tout serviteur enclin au repentir et disposé à réfléchir.

Then, do they not look at what is before them and what is behind them of the heaven and earth? If We should will, We could cause the earth to swallow them or [could] let fall upon them fragments from the sky. Indeed in that is a sign for every servant turning back [to Allah]

• Noor International Center (fr): Ne voient-ils donc pas ce qu’il y a devant et derrière eux du ciel et de la terre ? Si Nous voulions, Nous ferions se dérober sous eux la terre (pour qu’ils y soient engloutis) ou ferions tomber sur eux des pans du ciel. Il y a certes là un Signe pour tout serviteur repentant.
• Hilali & Khan: See they not what is before them and what is behind them, of the heaven and the earth? If We will, We shall sink the earth with them, or cause a piece of the heaven to fall upon them. Verily, in this is a sign for every slave who turns to Allâh in repentance (i.e. the one who believes in the Oneness of Allâh and performs deeds of His obedience and always begs His Pardon).
• Rowwad Translation Center (en): Do they not see all that is before them and all that is behind them of the heavens and earth? If We willed, We could cause the earth to swallow them up, or cause fragments of the sky to fall upon them. Indeed, there is a sign in this for every slave who turns to Allah in repentance.

Tafsir (explication) de ce verset 34:9

Ceux qui rejettent la réalité de la Ressuscitation ne voient-ils pas la Terre devant eux et le Ciel derrière eux? Si Nous le voulions, nous déroberions la Terre sous leurs pieds et si Nous le voulions, Nous ferions tomber sur eux des pans du Ciel. Ceci est assurément le signe manifeste, adressé à tout serviteur qui se retourne souvent à l’obéissance de son Seigneur, dans lequel il reconnaît Son pouvoir. En effet, Celui qui a le pouvoir de tout cela, a également le pouvoir de vous ressusciter après votre mort et de déchiqueter vos corps.
