Coran 34:53 — sourate Saba, verset 53

وَقَدۡ كَفَرُواْ بِهِۦ مِن قَبۡلُۖ وَيَقۡذِفُونَ بِٱلۡغَيۡبِ مِن مَّكَانِۭ بَعِيدٖ

alors qu’ils l’avaient auparavant reniée, avançant les plus extravagantes suppositions.

And they had already disbelieved in it before and would assault the unseen from a place far away

• Noor International Center (fr): Ils avaient, auparavant, mécru en Lui, et voulaient atteindre (de leurs mensonges) l’Inconnaissable (ghayb) depuis un endroit très éloigné.
• Hilali & Khan: Indeed they did disbelieve (in the Oneness of Allâh, Islâm, the Qur’ân and Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم) before (in this world), and they (used to) conjecture about the Unseen [i.e. the Hereafter, Hell, Paradise, Resurrection and the Promise of Allâh (by saying) all that is untrue], from a far place.
• Rowwad Translation Center (en): while they disbelieved in it before, making far-fetched conjectures about the unseen?

Comment peuvent-ils avoir la foi et comment peut-on l’accepter d’eux alors qu’ils l’ont rejetée dans le bas monde et émettent des suppositions très éloignées de la vérité, disant ainsi du Messager qu’il est un sorcier, un devin et un poète.
