Coran 33:23 — sourate Al-Ahzab, verset 23

مِّنَ ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنِينَ رِجَالٞ صَدَقُواْ مَا عَٰهَدُواْ ٱللَّهَ عَلَيۡهِۖ فَمِنۡهُم مَّن قَضَىٰ نَحۡبَهُۥ وَمِنۡهُم مَّن يَنتَظِرُۖ وَمَا بَدَّلُواْ تَبۡدِيلٗا

Il est, parmi les croyants, des hommes qui ont honoré leur engagement envers Allah. Certains, fidèles à leur promesse, sont tombés en martyrs, tandis que d’autres attendent toujours sans jamais se dédire.

Among the believers are men true to what they promised Allah. Among them is he who has fulfilled his vow [to the death], and among them is he who awaits [his chance]. And they did not alter [the terms of their commitment] by any alteration

• Noor International Center (fr): Il est, parmi les croyants, des hommes qui ont honoré leur engagement envers Allah. Il en est qui ont atteint la fin (de leurs jours), d’autres l’attendent toujours sans avoir rien changé (à leur engagement initial).
• Hilali & Khan: Among the believers are men who have been true to their covenant with Allâh [i.e. they have gone out for Jihâd (holy fighting), and showed not their backs to the disbelievers]; of them some have fulfilled their obligations (i.e. have been martyred); and some of them are still waiting, but they have never changed [i.e. they never proved treacherous to their covenant which they concluded with Allâh] in the least.
• Rowwad Translation Center (en): Among the believers there are men who have been true to their pledge to Allah. Some of them have fulfilled their pledge, and others are still waiting, and they have not changed in the least.

Tafsir (explication) de ce verset 33:23

Parmi les croyants, il y a des hommes qui sont véridiques envers Allah ont tenu l’engagement qu’ils ont pris de rester ferme et d’être endurants dans la lutte pour la cause d’Allah. Certains sont morts ou ont été tués au combat et d’autres attendent leur tour de tomber en martyr. Tous ces croyants n’ont pas manqué à leur engagement, contrairement aux hypocrites.
