Coran 17:76 — sourate Al-Isra, verset 76

وَإِن كَادُواْ لَيَسۡتَفِزُّونَكَ مِنَ ٱلۡأَرۡضِ لِيُخۡرِجُوكَ مِنۡهَاۖ وَإِذٗا لَّا يَلۡبَثُونَ خِلَٰفَكَ إِلَّا قَلِيلٗا

Ils ont failli te pousser à quitter ta patrie. Mais ils n’y seraient pas restés bien longtemps après ton départ.

And indeed, they were about to drive you from the land to evict you therefrom. And then [when they do], they will not remain [there] after you, except for a little

• Noor International Center (fr): Ils faillirent, en vérité, te pousser à quitter le pays. Mais alors, ils n’y seraient demeurés que peu de temps après toi.
• Hilali & Khan: And verily they were about to frighten you so much as to drive you out from the land. But in that case they would not have stayed (therein) after you, except for a little while.
• Rowwad Translation Center (en): They were about to provoke you so as to drive you out of the land [of Makkah], but then they would not have remained after you, except for a little while.

Tafsir (explication) de ce verset 17:76

La férocité des persécutions des mécréants manqua de te faire quitter la Mecque mais Allah les empêcha de t’en expulser jusqu’à ce que la Migration t’ait été ordonnée par ton Seigneur. S’ils t’avaient expulsé, qu’ils sachent qu’ils ne seraient pas restés en vie longtemps après ton expulsion.
