Koran 8:35 — Sure Al-Anfal, Vers 35

وَمَا كَانَ صَلَاتُهُمۡ عِندَ ٱلۡبَيۡتِ إِلَّا مُكَآءٗ وَتَصۡدِيَةٗۚ فَذُوقُواْ ٱلۡعَذَابَ بِمَا كُنتُمۡ تَكۡفُرُونَ

Und ihr Gebet beim Haus ist nur Pfeifen und Klatschen. Kostet nun die Strafe dafür, daß ihr stets ungläubig wart.

And their prayer at the House was not except whistling and handclapping. So taste the punishment for what you disbelieved

• Rowwad Translation Center (de): Und ihr Gebet beim Haus war ja nur Pfeifen und Klatschen. So kostet nun die Strafe dafür, dass ihr stets ungläubig wart.
• Hilali & Khan: Their Salât (prayer) at the House (of Allâh, i.e. the Ka‘bah at Makkah) was nothing but whistling and clapping of hands. Therefore taste the punishment because you used to disbelieve.
• Rowwad Translation Center (en): Their prayer at the Sacred House was nothing but whistling and clapping. So taste the punishment for your disbelief.
