Koran 7:71 — Sure Al-A'raf, Vers 71

قَالَ قَدۡ وَقَعَ عَلَيۡكُم مِّن رَّبِّكُمۡ رِجۡسٞ وَغَضَبٌۖ أَتُجَٰدِلُونَنِي فِيٓ أَسۡمَآءٖ سَمَّيۡتُمُوهَآ أَنتُمۡ وَءَابَآؤُكُم مَّا نَزَّلَ ٱللَّهُ بِهَا مِن سُلۡطَٰنٖۚ فَٱنتَظِرُوٓاْ إِنِّي مَعَكُم مِّنَ ٱلۡمُنتَظِرِينَ

Er sagte: Greuel und Zorn von eurem Herrn überfallen euch nunmehr. (Wollt) ihr denn mit mir über Namen streiten, die ihr genannt habt, ihr und eure Väter, für die Allah (aber) keine Ermächtigung offenbart hat? So wartet ab! Ich gehöre mit euch zu den Abwartenden.

[Hud] said, "Already have defilement and anger fallen upon you from your Lord. Do you dispute with me concerning [mere] names you have named them, you and your fathers, for which Allah has not sent down any authority? Then wait; indeed, I am with you among those who wait

• Rowwad Translation Center (de): Er sagte: „Ein(e) gräuel(nde Strafe) und Zorn von eurem Herrn überfallen euch nunmehr. Wollt ihr denn mit mir über Namen streiten, die ihr genannt habt, ihr und eure Väter, für die Allah (aber) keine Ermächtigung offenbart hat? So wartet ab! Wahrlich, ich gehöre mit euch zu den Abwartenden.“
• Hilali & Khan: (Hûd) said: "Torment and wrath have already fallen on you from your Lord. Dispute you with me over names which you have named - you and your fathers - with no authority from Allâh? Then wait, I am with you among those who wait."
• Rowwad Translation Center (en): He said, “You are definitely going to be subjected to the punishment and wrath of your Lord. Do you dispute with me concerning mere names that you and your forefathers have made up which Allah has never authorized? Then wait; I am too waiting with you.”
